So true though
Cyclops
Only slightly larger than humans, a cyclops could be mistaken for an especially large man if not for his single eye. Due to their size and strength, cyclops gravitate towards activities like blacksmithing, construction, and lumberjacking. Ancient cyclops forged lightning bolts for Zeus, worked as craftsmen under Hephaestus, and built the walls of ancient cities.
In the modern age, some cyclops have taken to the tech boom as an outlet for their craftsmanship. These cyclops live on the outskirts of Tokyo, Silicon Valley, Dubai, Copenhagen, and the like. They use the local witch or wizard to disguise their face and settle into human society to soak in the glory of the new technological era.
However, most still prefer rural lifestyles. Socially-awkward rebels with little reverence for anything and a distaste for rules, cyclops have earned a bad reputation over time. Their poor manners, inhuman appearance, and lack of patience for social custom make cyclops some of the most reclusive supernaturals. You’re far more likely to hear the rumors about them before you ever meet one in the flesh.
While social interaction frustrates them, cyclops aren’t violent or cruel. They’re also not intentionally rude, but they don’t have enough patience to fix their bad manners. Additionally, cyclops get tired and frustrated quickly when around strangers.
Should you happen to meet one of the well-adjusted cyclops who has taken up life in an enthusiast tech startup, you’ll find them larger and brusquer than the average man. Even a well-manner cyclops is evaded by the intricacy of human social life, and as such, prefer not to meet many strangers. To their good luck, “awkward genius” stereotypes are rampant in STEM fields and humans tend to dismiss them as socially inept.
Understand that any relationship you build with a cyclops will be slow and start with friendship. Talk to them mostly about their craft, and you’ll see them glow with the passion of all creative minds. If one offends you, try to be patient and understand it doesn’t come from malicious intent as much as it does poor understanding. Politely explain why their comment was inappropriate or hurtful, and though he might react with frustration, a cyclops won’t repeat his mistake.
To those who finally make the hurtle into friendship and mutual affection, cyclops are loyal. They’ll express care by creating gift after gift for you, like they gave Zeus his lightning bolts.

"colombia is about to be the main character of latin american tech"
🌟 okay but can we talk about how colombia is literally becoming the tech capital of latin america and nobody's talking about it??? 🌟
#colombia #tech #datacenters #latinamerica #techbro #digital revolution #bogota
listen i know we usually talk about cute cats and aesthetic coffee shops on here but GUYS colombia is having a MOMENT and i need everyone to know about it
so here's the tea ☕
colombia (yes, the same colombia your geography teacher couldn't pronounce correctly) is about to absolutely DEMOLISH every other country in the region when it comes to tech infrastructure and i am HERE 👏 FOR 👏 IT 👏
they're building SO many data centers right now it's actually insane. like we're talking about over a BILLION dollars being thrown at digital infrastructure. that's billion with a B, bestie.
why should you care?
faster internet for literally everyone in the region
more tech jobs (hello economic mobility!)
your netflix will stop buffering when you visit your cousins in medellín
startups can actually compete globally now
sustainable development that doesn't destroy the planet
the numbers are SENDING me: → 23 data centers operating rn → 12 more being built as we speak → companies are spending $1.3 BILLION on just TWO facilities → it's growing at 17% per year (that's exponential growth for my math-challenged mutuals)
bogotá said "we're not just another capital city"
like seriously bogotá is out here building smart cities while other places are still figuring out basic wifi. the city planners really said "let's be sustainable AND technologically advanced" and honestly? iconic behavior.
plot twist: the big tech companies are OBSESSED
oracle opened their first cloud thingy there. equinix (the data center people) are investing heavy. even companies i can't pronounce are throwing money at colombia like it's their job.
and can we appreciate how colombia looked at brazil and mexico (the usual tech leaders) and said "hold my arepa, watch this" ✨
but here's what's actually beautiful about this:
this isn't just about rich tech bros getting richer (though let's be real, they are). this is about:
kids in rural areas getting better internet for school
small businesses being able to compete online
artists and creators having platforms to share their work globally
young people not having to leave the country for tech opportunities
the connectivity is chef's kiss
they have TEN underwater cables connecting them to everywhere that matters. and they're adding THREE more. that's like having the best wifi in the entire hemisphere.
unpopular opinion time:
everyone's been sleeping on colombia while obsessing over the same old tech hubs. but colombia said "fine, we'll build our own tech empire... with blackjack and sustainable development"
also can we talk about the AESTHETICS?
have you SEEN bogotá? it's giving futuristic city vibes mixed with cultural richness and i am LIVING for this combination of traditional meets high-tech
the government actually has their shit together on this one
they have a whole National Digital Strategy that runs until 2026. like they actually planned this instead of just hoping things work out. revolutionary concept, i know.
what this means for us:
better apps, faster streaming, more opportunities for our latino tech innovators to shine, and honestly just colombia getting the recognition it deserves as a powerhouse instead of just being "that place where the coffee comes from"
final thoughts:
colombia really looked at the global tech map and said "there's room for one more main character" and honestly? they're right.
watch this space because in five years we're all going to be like "remember when colombia wasn't THE tech hub of latin america?"
also if you're a tech person reading this, maybe start learning spanish because colombia is about to be where all the opportunities are 👀
reblog if you're excited about colombia's tech revolution or if you just learned something new today or if you think more countries should invest in sustainable tech development or if you want better internet everywhere Know more: COLOMBIA DATA CENTER MARKET SIZE & GROWTH
The AI wave isn’t coming—it’s already here. 🌍
By 2026, the global AI market will cross $228.3 billion, with China racing ahead at $40.4B. That’s a staggering 35.6% CAGR—proof that this isn’t hype, it’s history in the making.

I need you to understand something about the early 90s
Some of the largest parking structures ever built in Seattle are coming on line in and around our high-tech neighborhoods. But we're embarra
