the whole thing, it came up and pretty much works perfectly! Just one component needed a swap - we were able to test all GPIO, analog inputs, MicroSD slot, PSRAM, LEDs & NeoPixel, user button, I2C/SPI/UART, aaand power supplies. The 5V supply is great, we got a nice clean 5V out at 2A+ from 12V DC in. The last thing to check is the HSTX port, which gives us DVI access, and it works, thanks to this festive turtle demo!

English localization for the 2002 technical demo

The 2002 techdemo was shared on VK awhile ago, and I've found this version of the game to provide an interesting insight into what might've been the very early version of the plot and worldbuilding of Pathologic. All the text in the demo was famously entirely garbled; it is fixed and translated in this version.

The patched techdemo is available here. More technical information about the patch itself and the included /patch folder is available on the project page here.

If you've never played it before, the demo is extremely simple: you can run around the early, lowest-poly-we've-ever-seen, version of the Town (which was actually a city in 2002); talk to the strange man walking around; or locate the cottage on the edge of the city and have a meaningful conversation with one Maria Kaina, who seems to know you but isn't necessarily your friend.
