The launch of the McLaren M23 took place on 1st January 1976, fifty years and two days ago. The top photo shows Jochen Mass and Teddy Meyer standing, McLaren designer Gordon Coppuck to James's right and Patty McLaren (Bruce's widow) to James's left.
