Tapping his pen on the edge of his notebook, Ben wasn’t really concentrating on his Physics homework. Hooke’s Law was pretty easy and he was already done solving the problems on the edge of his textbook. He was supposed to be writing notes, but his mind was elsewhere.
Actually, it was on Sibuna.
Getting involved in something as big as it was, it made Ben nervous. The excitement was nice and all, but he really didn’t want to get into trouble. The scholarship was the only thing that allowed him to finish his high school, and he really wanted to finish high school. But on the other hand, Sibuna had given him purpose. Like his big brain was finally working on something tangible, not like the Gas Laws, or organelles in a cell.
His pen tapping probably got excessive because he could hear the annoyance of the other people sharing his space. “Sorry about that...springs, ya see. Messing with my mind and all...” He chuckled, trying to dispel the seriousness.
