Hello~! Since its worldbuilding wednesday besides the start of this awesome month I have a question for u about ur world! It sounds super cool. These humans adapted this way because of their planet, does that mean on another colonized planets there is a group of humans who adapted differently~? And how do the RAAETES humans look like? Their skin had to adapt as u mentioned they did biologically so im curious if they look so different ud pause before calling them human

I haven’t really done anything with the other colonies since they’re not the focus, but each one had a different focus so to speak. RAAETES was radiation/heat, but other colonies would have centered their research on other topics, such as agriculture, electricity, or botany. All the colonies lost contact with Earth, so all would have been forced to adapt. Did they all succeed? Not sure.

As for their looks, humans from RAAETES are “obviously” human. They’re bigger- in height, weight, muscle- but aren’t too alien that Earth humans couldn’t recognize them. Their skin is rough and there’s a lot of mentions in-text of them having dry/cracked skin from their internal heat. I considered giving them scale-like skin, but it seemed a bit too much.
