Opettaja: No niin, kertokaahan esimerkiksi että miten te lähestytte naista baarissa?
Teekkari: Ei me olla vielä käyty tekniikan viestintää ⚆ _ ⚆

Radio Diodi
The May Day Radio made by local technical students. The best programs are the late-night ones, for example the classic, installing Gentoo while drinking one beer every time there’s an error message.

Valentine's day
First thing is that Finland have the Valentine’s Day in the “normal day”, because in Brazil we have it in June together with the June festivals. The “normal”, Valentine’s Day is on February 14th. February and most part of March is still winter.
The second thing is that the Finnish name for Valentine’s Day is Ystävän Päiva which means Friends Day. And in 2015 the Valentine’s Day coincided with the weekend of Akateemisen Kyykän MM-kilpailut, The academic championships of Kyykkä, so the Valentine’s day was also Kyykkä Päivä.
This championship is held in Hervanta, Tampere, every year and is organized by the TEA-klubi. Kyykkä is a really interesting game that cannot be explained with words. You can read a little about the championship here: http://kyykka.fi/ise and here http://kyykka.fi/rules and look in youtube for a few videos ;). The point of the game is having fun, drink and bribe the judges (with drinks).
The event lasts the whole day, and the Finals are held in the end of the day with one afterpaty on the same day and official and exclusive overall badges. This year they had tons of fields spread all over the campus, and there’s also the I Speak English league (ISE), with the rules, judges and referees speaking English.
That’s a big student event, with teams from every city in Finland, and basically the only weekend when the 24/7 student access to TUT is revoked! [No partying in the university - theoretically...]
