Dating Lester Sinclair headcanons, because there ain’t enough appreciation for him!

- Lester is actually The Best boyfriend .

- If you don’t mind the smell of roadkill, that is .

- Despite how nose blind he’s become to the scent that lingers, it’s not hard to get him to shower. A sweet kiss on the cheek and kind request is usually all he needs .

- I imagine he’d start off a little unsure when you first get together, slow to initiate things before it becomes more apparent you’re not going anywhere, suddenly switching to a handsy, clingy, loving sweetie who can’t help but smear kisses across your neck and cheeks at any and every opportunity .

- Of course he loves having his hands on you. If you’re riding in his truck he’ll put a hand on your thigh. If you’re talking to someone or doing something he’ll come up behind you and wrap his arms around your waist, resting his head on your shoulder, or nuzzling his face into your back if you’re taller than him .

- Often he’ll even coo at you to “Come sit on my lap, sugar.”

- Really, he has no concept of personal space when it comes to you. If you need space, be sure to tell him nicely, and he’ll try his best .

- He’s not particularly possessive, though he likes to show that you’re with him. Whenever you’re around anyone other than his brothers he’ll always make sure to have an arm around your shoulders or waist. He’s just proud to have pulled someone so good looking, and loves to show you off 🖤

- Loves it when you lean your head on his shoulder .

- He has absolutely no filter. At any point, for any reason, he’ll tell you how much he loves you, or how much he appreciates you. If you get flustered easily, he’ll poke a bit of fun, delighted in your reactions, but he never means ill by it. He just thinks you’re the cutest thing 🖤

- His lack of filter does extend into sexual comments, but he’s more quiet about those. Whispers and mummers to you occasional snippets of whatever he’s thinking about doing to or with you, or whatever he admires on you at that moment. Comments punctuated with a grin when successful at getting you flustered or wound up .

- He is not smooth, though. Despite his best efforts, Lester is still an awkward man, but isn’t that what makes him charming?

- Loves to give you gifts. Usually it’s stuff stolen from victims visitors, but still, each item shows thought put into picking it out .

- Lester’s memory is Okay, average. However, he keeps a small beat up notebook in his pocket filled with knowledge about you, from special dates to loves and hates… everything he wants to make sure he doesn’t forget .

- Actually quite enjoys Valentine’s day, now that he has someone to celebrate it with. Doesn’t have a big sweet tooth but if you’re the type, bake him something and he’ll love you forever. Personally, he’ll set up a nice romantic scene somewhere secluded in or just outside of Ambrose to share the night with you .

- If you have any pets, he would be the best pet dad possible. Doesn’t matter what type(s) of pets either, cats, reptiles, bugs, rats, rescued wild animals? He’ll adore them all and help take care of them however he can .

- Would love to take walks around Ambrose with you at night to chat, or on sunset drives in his truck with Jonesy. Really appreciates any kind of simple quality time with you .

- Absolute snuggle bug, of course! Please cuddle this man. Prefers to be the big spoon but won’t complain either way. In all honesty, he’s just happy you love him .

For a long moment, no words were exchanged. The Cradle lay in a silence heavier than the melody that had weighed down the atmosphere mere moments ago.

The newborn god at the center of it all trembled with barely restrained emotion. Before Her stood a Silkborn half-dead, their near-motionless form a stark contrast.

"…what were those words you spoke?" they said at length, their voice low. "What was it you wrote upon the Choral Commandment? 'A kingdom must not be left without a ruler,' yes?"

The young Monarch's claws left Her shoulders, finding new purchase on the platform where the rest of the bugs stood. A low, pained noise left Her throat, rumbling the ground with its sheer depth. As She found the strength to hold herself somewhat upright, the frayed Silkborn turned to face what remained of the Choir.

Their mouth—so carefully hidden moments before—was set in a wide grin.

"You wanted a Goddess?" they hissed.

"Here's your damn Goddess."

what exactly is it that you like about doomed world? not that i disagree with it being great lol. curious to hear why it specifically is your favourite + giving you 'a reason' to talk about it (your longer opinion/thought posts are nice, and it's rare to see those for objectified)

it's not really any deeper reason than it introduces the true horror of onset advances, my favorite part of the comic, and the art is banger! like, in what world is THIS

an object show community character??? until reading objectified i had NEVER seen anything even REMOTELY close to this within the genre and this is truly the episode that made objectified "click" for me; it wasn't until this moment in my first readthrough that i realized objectified wasn't just another object comic but was something really special that i wanted to keep up with. and yes, i know 54 episodes is quite late, but when you're reading something for the first time without reading super deep into it it goes by really fast haha, doomed world pt. 2 was my first "proper" episode release because i actually finished my first read on the day before coldwave released so there was no real wait period between getting into the comic and that episode releasing

also just-- this?? this whole thing????

delirium is like a ticking time bomb and the thing that detonated it for razor was the idea of her best friend being cannibalized by violent strangers. her love for fuzzball is so strong that she killed an entire gang of bandits for her in a frenzy and fuzzball doesn't even KNOW, she probably thinks whatever gave razor those wounds was environmental like barbed wire or a complete accident, not in a brutal fight that led to the deaths of multiple objects!! hell, it could've killed razor!! imagine the fandom reaction if she cut an artery with one of wanda's shards and had to be revived, too? imagine if this was dragonscale's gang instead of brand new characters!!

also godddd this entire fucking page. look at how terrifying this is. imagine being lava lamp in this situation. imagine seeing this 7 foot tall wolf with blades for a face staring you down like this with a frothing mouth full of teeth and claws the size of butcher knives. not gonna lie i don't blame sticker sheet for pissing himself

(also, side note, but this is even scarier with the revelation that these were random objects respawned by wanda. imagine coming back to life in the apocalypse only to see THIS)

AND THE SUPPLEMENTAL ARTWORK IS JUST AS INSANE!!! LOOK AT THOSE TEETH!!! this is a cynophobe's worst nightmare and it's just done so fucking well. it really captures the terror of both an artificial plague breaking down someone's brain as well as the sheer terror of a frenzied, scared, confused, violent animal coming straight for you and the constellation imagery fits so perfectly with the circuitboard patterns delirium is associated with as well as the connections razor has to the ursa major constellation:

and if you like machine girl, the allusions should have been obvious the first time you saw this episode! it's a very clear inspiration:

the crazed red eyes, bared teeth and repeating patterns of wolves/dogs? yeah there's no way that was unintentional, especially with the first one literally being called WLFGRL+. if you like the song DELIRIUM you OWE it to yourself to check these two albums out, you won't be disappointed

also, not really doomed world pt. 1 which is what this post is about but the entire wanda/gum fight scene culminating in razor crushing wanda's head in her jaws like a vice grip while gum is clearly terrified of her survival partner? chef kiss. absolute cinema. 10/10. couldn't be a better debut for the first onset advance and i can only hope apparitia and onset 3 get art just as crazy in the future
