Very, very cool birthday gift from the family. For those unfamiliar with sumo, the rikishi (sumo wrestlers) will sign autograph cards with a handprint. This is the handprint of my favourite, Takayasu. If anyone is curious as to how these are done, HERE is a video of several rikishi having a contest to see who is the fastest. Takayasu is at the end, around the 15 minute mark.

All Yokozuna tegata!

So Hoshoryu recently made some new tegata...

I just spent a shitton of money to reward myself for a making it through a very 💩 basho. As a result, in about a month's time, I will be the proud owner of a HoshoZuna tegata 🤚 - if I haven't been scammed that is. (If I have been, then I deserve it.) I'm so excited / nervous, my heart's beating faster just thinking about it! With bonus nervous tummy aches before I finally caved.

Also, I've decided to try and go all Jack Sparrow on the ever-present Hosh-negativity from now on. You know:

"He's the worst Yokozuna ever!" - "But he's a Yokozuna! lol"

I spent a lot of time tonight staring at my Hosh tegata on the wall.

That great feeling was back - the "he touched this" feeling.

Hosh held that thing in hand. And now it's here. It's magic.
