Hottest new Swedish expression of the century

2020 will be remembered most prominently for these three words, which can add an extra spice to basically any sentence or question

“I DESSA TIDER”

which basically means “in these (difficult) times”

Originally, you would find it to be used in conjunction with some friendly piece of corona related advice, such as “Det är viktigt att tänka på avståndet i dessa tider”, which makes perfect sense.

It then spread, seemingly quicker than the virus itself, to the political animals of Twitter: “Vi behöver en stark samlingsregering i dessa tider - skrota JA”

Soon thereafter, it made its way onto Jodel: “wickr farsta?? är det helt jääävla omöjligt å få tag på lite braj i deras tider??!?!??!?!?!!?”

You will soon find it adding weight to basically any piece of nonsensical reflection on life: “tekniken går så fort framåt i dessa tider”
