i was low key expecting Nie Huaisang to the be the next High Councilor but I love that its Jiang Yanli. YES MORE WOMEN IN POWER... also if WWX gives NHS that much blatant responsibility id think hed quit. The lan brothers heart to heart was sad but they will have thier beaus soon so there something to look forward too. I hope you have a good week off!! U deserve it

lmaooo I was thinking the same thing about nhs like, I can’t imagine the amount of work involved in being the high councilor but i’m pretty sure nhs would not want any of that in his life 😂

+ how can you pull strings from the shadows if you gotta step out and be seen?

I am having an excellent week, thank you very much <3 I’ve been plotting the last chapters in my head on and off tho, so I can’t wait to get some down time and write them out :)

i am very interested but also very apprehensive whenever youtuber drama pops up in tumblr. usually its about something bad

Yeah, everytime another one of these comes up I always just cringe and (hope it isn’t anyone I watch) wait to see how bad it was. This one was more disappointing than anything else though, because the youtuber in question had already addressed the problem and seemed sincerely sorry for upsetting people and now, years later, is being harrassed off the platform. I may have missed something but it seems like prime cancel culture so far.

Your WWX and LWJ are so cute. Also i never knew i needed WWX with darker skin and pointy ears but I absolutely love how you draw him. Or the dnd races au, but man are they beautiful. So colorful!

So I just finished rereading Food of Love and I love the concept of Jaskier as like the Dnd bard and I love the idea you made him like that while keeping his character because to me it just. Fits. Also a comment on your magic, have you thought of how repetition affects the magic? because ive read short stories where a video game comes to life bc of the millions that play it and I thought its the same issue with Renfri ppl singing his song again reinforcing the spell and its reality

This is what Renfri thinks as well! My initial theory for this was that it’s a mix of the repetition factor and how good the song is in terms of structure, rhyme, storytelling and miscellaneous other factors that only someone who went to college for this stuff (like Jaskier did) would be interested in. It works either way: when it’s an objectively good song, it tends to be catchy, and people sing it a lot: therefore, repetition does grant power in a way.

Omfg i didnt know you had snippets of the sequel here and HOw Can You MAKe me So Sad with just these small parts?!??? Its so beautiful. Your writing is so beautiful and reading those snippets makes me want to read tnahp again except I dont want to cry rn. Man, cant wait to read the sequel but take your time.
