I think one of the things that does bother me rn about Keiwa and Neon's situation is just.
How out of the loop they really are.
Neon bailed before the final game in the JGP. Keiwa died before Ace got his confirmation on the true state of Mitsume.
Both are running completely on second hand information.
Furthermore its second hand information from DAICHI. You'd think Keiwa would have learned but nope.
Got the lack of information right now is so fun.
I am CONVINCED, for instance, that Michinaga doesn’t know Ace reincarnates. I assumed he thought Ace was immortal, but he definitely does not know “reincarnater who has experienced every misery”. I hope that got fixed but like. Still.
Neon doesn’t know the context and I think it’s better if she’s a little out of the loop. How might she react to learning that dozens were sacrificed for her own cursed existence? Not well, I imagine.
And Keiwa… Keiwa doesn’t know the truth. He doesn’t know that Mitsume’s reaction to Ace was to CRY OUT IN PAIN. He doesn’t know that Chirami confirmed Mitsume was FORCED, as the Goddess.
And Ace? Oh, Ace finally knows EVERYTHING. But one single thing he is actively denying?
Daichi never lies. He just hides the truth. And he quite explicitly stated that Mitsume spent lives to create Ace. That is the one thing she did, not while controlled by the DGP. She sacrificed people for another to live a cursed existence.
(Sara meanwhile understands none of this. Just wants to protect her brother from suffering, not knowing what it took to get here. Not knowing that she is being used as bait.)
And seeing how these four reconcile such odd bits of truth is what makes me SO excited for this next arc.
