A lot of publishing-adjacent services still do shit primarily by fax, so I've got one of those printer-fax combos with a dedicated fax line. Surprisingly, there are still a few remaining fax spammers out there, so in practice it's like living with a haunted printer that just randomly turns itself on in the middle of the night sometimes and starts printing the weirdest ads you've ever seen.
