I had so much fun celebrating my birthday...I think the hoopla lasted about 10 days!! Here’s another picture of me holding the mermaid socks and laughing with my gal pals at Tellus Science Museum.

So many ways to help out at the Tellus Science Museum. Here I am hanging up the necklaces that are used to seal up the vials of either fossils that patrons have “dug” up or gems 💎 they have panned. When we have school field trips, we go through so many necklaces that it’s hard to keep up with the making of these. I am in charge of putting the colorful strands through the eye of the top and then closing it with a knot. Of course these would all get into a tangled mess except for the fact that we have a great system of putting 25 on a large key ring and hang them on one of the many hooks. It seems to keep them organized to be easily handed out quickly.

Today, at the Tellus Science Museum, I was super productive making 200 necklaces. These necklaces hold either a vial of gemstones that students on field trips have panned, or fossils that students have unearthed in the fossil room. The white cap I strung on the strand caps off the vial and voila each necklace is unique to its owner. Also you can see me with Sandy the volunteer coordinator extraordinaire!! Come volunteer at the Tellus Science Museum exit 293 route 75 in GA. If you do, you will see what I mean about my friend Sandy. 😀

All set and ready to volunteer during my specified time period at Tellus, a science museum. I am given a variety of duties such as greeting guests to the gem panning and the fossil digging rooms. Also I get involved in the store helping straighten their really awesome products and bagging for the cashiers.
