As many of us may or may not know, the erinhunterbooks Instagram has revealed that Tencent's animated Warriors series has been greenlit.

Officialy - Lord of the Mysteries will be fully adapted! The plan for the next ten years has been presented! ⬥ The special episode 1 is coming in 2026 ⬥ Season 2 is coming in 2027 ⬥ The special episode 2 is coming in 2029 ⬥ Season 3 in 2030 ⬥ Season 4 in 2032 ⬥ Season 5 in 2033 ⬥ Season 6 in 2034 ⬥ Final volume will be made into a movie in 2035 The second season will consist of 30 episodes and will be divided into two parts. The first season finale has a new song and there is an opening in the second season.

There will also be a Special Kanto Battle event in Pokemon UNITE celebrating its opening, complete the missions to earn a sticker! (Runs until Feb19.)

2026 Tencent Line-up: To Watch

I've given up on 2025 when it comes to idol Cdramas so here's hoping 2026 will treat me more kindly.

Dramas I'm looking forward to...

Remnants of Gold

Chen Kun!!! I hadn't even heard of this drama before today and now it's at the top of my Must Watch list. I like most of the cast and I'm loving the energy, visual cohesiveness, and production value. Bonus: it's only 12 episodes, which is perfect for an action-adventure revenge story.

Mo Li

The more trailers I see, the more excited I get. I was originally a bit nervous about the Bai Lu-Cheng Lei pairing because even though they're both actors who can create chemistry with a rock, they have such different energy so together they could either be really good or really off. But I'm happy to report they're giving Grown Adult vibes that I haven't seen since The Double? The drama feels mature, intimate, and grounded, which is refreshing. I'm also really digging the restraint of the aesthetics.

Against the Current

Honestly, I'm praying for this to be good just so I can finally finish a Liu Xueyi drama. (That man is too talented, charismatic, and good looking to be wasted on mediocre stories!) I do wish Li Meng was the FL though because she pulled me in with just a few seconds on screen. The story seems larger scale than I had anticipated, which is interesting, and I like the realism of the production design.

Chasing Jade/Zhu Yu

Didn't care for the first trailer, but I have faith in director Zeng Qingjie and his talent for crafting Big Romantic Moments. I'm excited to see him work with Zhang Linghe because he'll actually know how to utilize ZLH's romantic gaze and sensuality. Side Note: I usually love this director's aesthetics but something isn't working for me with the colors. I don't think it's the lighting so maybe it's the color grading when paired with the production design colors? Idk but it bugs me.

Long Gu Fen Xiang

I might be one of the few people in the Cdrama fandom who still hasn't seen Rattan so I have no thoughts about the main leads reuniting, but the drama has Jing Tian shooting guns and pushing men up against walls so that's enough for me to tune in.

And now dramas I'm mildly curious about...

Love Beyond the Grave

I don't particularly enjoy Arthur Chen as an actor but I'm curious to finally watch a Dilraba show. Love the idea of a ghost romance in a dark fantasy setting.

San Xian Mi Hui

It's nice to see Meng Ziyi out of period drag and I'm hoping the contemporary fantasy setting will push her as an actress because she's been pretty one note in the last few dramas I've seen her in.

Tigers Sniff the Rose

I dropped Blossom because of the writing but Meng Ziyi and Li Yunrui's chemistry was the best part of the show so I wonder if they can capture the same magic without Zeng Qingjie's skillful directing. At the very least the teaser looks pretty?

Blade of Vengeance

I’m drawn to the dark tone and cinematography, but why does Gong Jun look half-asleep again? Sir, bring back that Wen Kexing spark. Stoic doesn’t mean dead.

Bonus: The Awakening

I'm actually not sure what this drama is about (is it John Wick going back to his Hong Kong action roots or something?) but it has Yan An shirtless and sweaty, and I'm just happy to see him (temporarily) escape the clutches of Guo Jingming. Tian Jiarui, it's time for you to free yourself as well!
