hi !! can you do something with tenshira ? i like tendou and shirabu's dynamic a lot however there's barely any content for them :(
Dance Lessons
summary: shirabu doesn’t want to go to shiratorizawa’s end of year ball. not because he can’t dance- he can dance, thank you very much. (tendou is not convinced.)
warnings: not even kind of proofread
________________________________________
“what do you mean, you’re not going?!” the words resounded throughout the gym as tendou stared at the team’s second year setter and resident grump, shirabu kenjirou. “it’s.. everyone’s going! eita’s going! even wakatoshi’s going! you can’t just not go!”
“sure i can. easily.” shirabu answered calmly, never daring to show his amusement resulting from his dear senpai’s shock. look, it wasn’t like anyone thought it was. he wasn’t avoiding the dance because he hated hanging out with his team. on the contrary, he actually enjoyed their company quite a bit- it was just.. the crowd, the noise.. it wasn’t his thing. he wasn’t going to admit that, though. he enjoyed watching tendou lose his mind.
and of course, the redhead did just that. he had plenty of time, anyway. the two were on after practice cleanup duty. “well, you 𝘤𝘢𝘯.. but you shouldn’t! c’mon, dances are fun! why don’t you wanna gooooo?” he whined, only to be met with silence as shirabu continued to sweep the floor. “is it because you don’t have a date?” nothing. “is it because you’re super lame?” that got a glare, but still no words- he wasn’t going to dignify it with an answer. tendou pouted a bit, sulking as he started to take the net down. a comfortable silence fell over the two, both going about their business, until shirabu heard a loud crash.
“what the hell?!”
“i figured it out!” tendou cheered, the net pole forgotten on the ground as he bounded over to shirabu with a bright, shit-eating grin.
“you scared me, asshole!”
“𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦!”
there was another silence, mainly consisting of shirabu glaring and then shoving past tendou to pick up the net pole the other had carelessly dropped. “i know how to dance, thank you very much. i just don’t want to go. drop it.” he huffed, folding up the net. his bottom lip jutted out as he muttered indignantly. he did so know how to dance! his parents taught him as soon as he could walk.. what did tendou know?
“prove it!” tendou followed after him, abandoning the responsibility he had to clean. he playfully pulled shirabu away from the net, being met with his ever present poker face when he turned him around.
shirabu knew he only had a couple of options here- prove it, and give into tendou’s nonsense- absolutely not. he could lie and just say that he was right, and forfeit his pride- absolutely not. and lastly, he could ignore him and cement tendou’s beliefs of his dancing ability more than an actual confession even would- once again, absolutely not. the only one that didn’t lead to mocking was the first one, so.. “fine,” he sighed. “what style?” he asked. he’d been taught how to dance young- his parents brought him to all kinds of parties.
that only earned an eye roll. “seriously?” tendou asked, a mocking laugh leaving him. “do you know anything about socializing? we’re not going to 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘻, kenjirou. we’re going to dance!” he giggled, grabbing the setter by both hands and spinning him around, of course managing to catch shirabu off guard.
“hey!”
“dance!” tendou urged him, catching him when he stumbled and letting go of him. his body moved with that loose, carefree fluidity he always had. come on, what did shirabu think this was? some kind of soirée? a cotillion? this was a high school dance! people don’t need classical dance training to move their body to the beat. and apparently, people with it.. can’t, if the stiffness of shirabu’s movements were any indication. “you’re.. hopeless.”
“shut up!” came the response, followed by shirabu turning around to resume cleaning up the net. he couldn’t believe he even entertained him, that sardonic, 𝘪𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 -
“come on, just like this..” tendou said in a teasing voice, long fingers slowly wrapping around shirabu’s hip. the second year’s body somehow went more rigid as a blush crept up his neck. tendou pulled him closer, twirling him and swaying the two of them in rhythm. at that point, he was right- shirabu was, in fact, hopeless. hopelessly flustered, because 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺'𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘪𝘱𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥.. 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘩𝘳 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘮? he started to loosen up, resting his hands on tendou’s shoulders purely for stability during the twirls- no. other. reason. “there you go!”
the more he focused on not being nervous, the less he thought about his movements- which was just what he needed to do. soon enough, his body was moving effortlessly to an imaginary rhythm, making his least favorite-favorite senpai giggle uncontrollably. “what’s so funny?” he asked, that annoying blush from before returning to his cheeks. he could feel then that his hands had begun to sweat- since when did that happen? he started to stiffen up, not enjoying being laughed at.
“no! don’t do that, keep dancing with me!” he draped an arm over shirabu’s shoulder, leaning in close to his face with a big, shit-eating grin. “does it help if i say your ass looks nice when you dance?” he wiggled his eyebrows and winked, feeling himself get shoved away a moment later.
“no, that doesn’t help! you’re such an asshole, why do i even talk to you-” he started to ramble, emphasizing his indignation as a way to cover up how 𝘳𝘦𝘥 he was turning. tendou never seemed to care, though. his smile stayed all the same.
“whatever. i was right before.” he bragged, taking note of the setter’s confused look. “well, you can dance, sure. but not on your own. so i was right when i asked if it was because you didn’t have a date.” he smirked proudly. shirabu only turned to the wall, bending down to grab a stray volleyball. when he turned back, he came face to flirty face with tendou, who was leaned against the wall with one hand. “so?”
“wha-”
“be my date.”

Title: Timeless
Rating: M (for implied sexy times)
Pairing: Tendou Satori/Shirabu Kenjirou
Summary: The first time Kenjirou woke up in Satori’s bed, he left without saying good morning. Sunlight filtered in through the blinds and warmed the dawn air and he quickly found his clothes in a wrinkled mess on the floor, racing to get dressed and flee from the small, downtown apartment before Satori woke up and wanted to talk about feelings or something like that. He knew his cheeks were flushed enough already and any excuse to pretend last night hadn’t happened was good enough for him.
