Art attack for Alienpoosy's lovely character Oola <3!
I was asked to draw a simple and unique character design for Masked Lioness. Her fluffy tail is actually a prehensile tentacle, hence the octopus-like suckers you can see at the tailtip.
Media Used: Clip Studio Paint
Time Taken: 2 hours, 25 minutes
Because back in June I saw these amazing things I knew I eventually had to do it. Wasn’t expecting to find my chance in deciding that Ling can Shapeshift.
Though it’s more of an illusionary thing like Zoroark so don’t expect much in the ways of size changing or mimicing abilities. Although food can change her sizes like it can change anyone’s.
The illusion shapeshift in Ling’s case means it’s just like wearing a costume made of magic, and it will fade away if she decides to remove it. She only has to focus for a few moments to set an illusion on herself, after that she doesn’t need to maintain a focus to keep the form. When she sticks to forms like these she can even simulate the touch and feel of- as in this example, the tentacle tail. Although it would have the same dexterity as her real, fluffy tail.
Ling’s limits are turning into non-humanoid creatures; she can’t even turn into an actual Fox (without magic enhancements like a Kitsune mask for example) let alone any real monsters. Illusion powers can present the projection of one but unlike mentioned shapeshifts, they can’t be touched and only serve to intimidate or trick opponents.
