got really into reading item descriptions on this playthrough. anyway did you know the silent princess is one of the only raw materials with a cooking effect to not explicitly list that effect in its description

Chapter 5 had so many great expressions and gags for the gang, goddammit... I had to draw my faves! Also a great excuse to feel out my style for everyone again. Focusing a bit more on shapes rather than adding too many details was very freeing. <3

"The Space Crew" Sketchpage

Armed with Neon Odyssey and Starlight Brigade inspiration, and given time sponsored by a VERY generous Lynxie Helper, I filled out a sketchpage with the main characters from my sci-fi setting! A mechanic, a bounty hunter, a princess and a guard... What brought them together as a crew navigating the galaxy together? I'd like to share more from this particular story~

Demihuman Girls Hangout - Amber and Meryl

Amber and Meryl take a mall trip together, grabbing some new wardrobe options along with a chance to catch up with one another~  These two were the original besties after they met in university, and it was because of them that the rest of the friend group eventually came together. <3 (And this is the last pairing for the Hangout series~!)

Sheena frets over asking favors of her closest friends, such as asking Meryl to help tailor a dress for her to wear to an important fundraising gala. Yet Meryl simply sees her request as an opportunity to spend time with her, and to make her something special that only she can. If there's one thing Meryl has learned in her work, it's that her clothing gives people confidence. <3

Cat Mode In Progress

A rare glimpse of Amber mid-transformation! She's used to shifting forms very quickly for convenience, but in relaxed situations where she has the time and privacy to let her form wander more casually, each body part shifts only as she has reason to draw her attention to it. A mostly-human hand to better turn pages, while her other arm is mostly fur and paw to keep her warm and covered. The smell of curry drawing out her lynx nose, curious to know how many ingredients are left to add before dinner is ready. It can sometimes take Amber until she looks in the mirror to realize she needs to settle her form back to her desired, cohesive appearance.

Today Amber Shares: "Beautiful Mixed Media Animation With a Cute Cat"

There's something truly magical about finding a short film where you can clearly tell just how much of it was made by hand. Paper textures, collage backgrounds, painted effects added directly on top of printed film footage... Even the parts done with digital assistance are refined in such a way to make them match their handmade assets, which is one of my favorite things to see in art. In only a couple of minutes, I was captivated by this cat's dreamy little adventure, and left appreciating all the love and detail poured into it, and wanting to see more of this creator's work, especially since she's starting a monthly challenge to make more short mixed media films like this!

The creator, Ameya's Realm, actually posted up a video today talking about the process of making this film, which reminded me to share the original, and I would highly recommend watching this video as well!

one of the biggest things I can advocate for (in academia, but also just in life) is to build credibility with yourself. It’s easy to fall into the habit of thinking of yourself as someone who does things last minute or who struggles to start tasks. people will tell you that you just need to build different habits, but I know for me at least the idea of ‘habit’ is sort of abstract and dehumanizing. Credibility is more like ‘I’ve done this before, so I know I can do it, and more importantly I trust myself to do it’. you set an assignment goal for the day and you meet it, and then you feel stronger setting one the next day. You establish a relationship with yourself that’s built on confidence and trust. That in turn starts to erode the barrier of insecurity and perfectionism and makes it easier to start and finish tasks. reframing the narrative as a process of building credibility makes it easier to celebrate each step and recognize how strong your relationship with yourself can become

(Vent Comic) What You Want

I drew a messy little something, just for me. I've been sifting through a lot of thoughts recently, about me as an artist, and me as a person, and just how long I've been making things so much harder for myself than they need to be.

I actually started writing these thoughts out as far back as 2023, but only decided to commit to making it into an actual comic a couple of weeks ago, after coming out of a particularly frustrating emotional crash.

I get squeamish about sharing my thoughts and feelings, especially if they're not wholly positive, but I think that's exactly why I was compelled to make this, and more importantly, let other people see me make something like this.

Sheena and Amber recharge their social batteries together, taking advantage of their snowcat forms to stay cozy for an evening of winter stargazing. ❄️💗 (I was originally going to draw them both in a version of their demihuman forms with humanoid faces and full fur up to their necks, but it made more sense that they would be more comfortable just relaxing in their full anthro forms in the cold like this. More involved partial transformations require more passive concentration to maintain, and these girls are out here to relax~)
