Tyranid Hive Fleets 28-Nov-2023
I started painting these for a Youtube video, but I guess we can classify this as my Nidvember project.
I've only every painted Leviathan in the 20-ish years of being around Warhammer, and after I had so much fun with the Necron Dynasties I thought I'd dust off my old Termagants and give that a shot.
Was generally a fun aside to what I'm doing, with the exception of Gorgon. That was a nightmare. I won't be returning to that Hive Fleet where I can help it.
The last one is a custom Hive Fleet I painted up using the steps I do across the video, as a sort of demonstration of creating paint schemes. I used Granaldo from Final Fantasy VIII as the starting point for it, as I was playing it at the time and thought I'd be a good Tyranid scheme.

Thought of the Day: On the battlefield, valour is the lifeblood of victory.
More hotel painting! This time, just some gaunts. Painted to a low standard even by my skills, because THEY'RE GAUNTS. Since I almost always fight Marines, gaunts are of little use to me, so they basically just need to look painted from 3 feet away. Mission accomplished.
I’ve found out I don’t really enjoy batch-painting. I’ve increasingly been painting models one-and-one. Tyranids are less tedious to batch paint, so the other week I gritted my teeth and did the last ones I’ve lying around. They came out alright. No the main units of my tyranids force is done. I only have some bigger units left.
The doctor's brood. These are 69 termagants I am going to paint soon. Going to be "fun". :-o
Tyranid Termagant, Hive Fleet Leviathan 01-Jul-2023
Continuing on with the Leviathan box, still figuring out the schemes for each unit. I need to nail the Termys down, I'm sure I'll be painting a lot of these!
