Terra had finally, finally, tracked 'Joel' down to Jackson. They had actually let her in, maybe because she had fainted before getting to talk to whoever was at the gate, and she had requested for 'Joel' again. It was all she knew: Joel. Joel and Ellie. So when 'Joel' came, she forced herself to sit up from the bed they had shockingly allowed her to have. Why should she wait? But since she didn't know whether he had people listening in, she had to be careful. "My name is Terra. I was at Salt Lake when you came, sir," she whispered, "And I escaped while you... did... the thing you did. I'm... like your daughter, that's why I was sent there. Do you... understand what I mean?"

"Eli, hi!" Reunited after Eliana had gone to deal with some personal business, Terra didn't think twice before jumping into hugging her friend. "Welcome back!" So happy to see her, so many questions to ask and tales to tell, Terra beamed as she took a step back to look at her. "Your friends Minutemen needed help, so I went and fought a gang of mutants for them."

There are sirens and blood and screams and fire everywhere, and Terra feels her skin burn on the inside, and knows it will take but a moment for her to lose control again and melt more people. She can see the soldiers, now very far but still marching in her direction, and unfortunately their armors won't save them from the golden energy that will turn them into dust. She doesn't want to do it, but she will. And then she lets out a cry of horror at the sudden movement, and instinctively covers her face from a potential blow, doing everything she can not to blow up because he's not inside an armor, and he may just be one of the city inhabitants; they have been so nice to her, helping her run from the bad guys. "Please, please, I don't want to hurt you, I just-I just don't want to go back!" she pleads, her voice high with terror, begging for his life, "Please don't try to take me..."

Terra has wiped away her tears, in a strong effort not to sob in front of Echo; she had been following the cute molerat only to bump into that many raiders, who had been so ill-intentioned, and after living safely for a while, after knowing full days without pain, she had been unable to control herself and those horrible abilities of hers. "I killed a large group of raiders and there is blood everywhere," she blurts out, but more accurately there is a quite radioactive circle of nearly melted corpses right at the entrance of that small town, "We need to get out of here."

Terra had gotten lost, again, and it had led her straight into the dirty hands of a few raiders, who had correctly assessed her clothing and little trinkets as 'worth a lot of caps'. After a short debate they decided she didn't need to be alive to be sold, and Terra knew, with awful certainty, that she'd end up killing these men. She wanted to run from them but they weren't giving her that chance, and as much as she'd rather die than to see another carnage like the one she had left at the Enclave, she didn't think her instincts would give her a choice. She could already feel that heat spreading through her veins, almost ready. "No, no, please, don't do this!" she cried out, trying to save them more than she was trying to earn any sympathy, "Just sell me, you don't have to kill me, I'll follow you wherever you want me to go!" "She's begging," one of them laughed, pointing a large weapon at her, "I love when they do that." "Please..." Terra repeated, almost resigned to what was about to happen.

Terra had been bruised and bloodied, crawling in search of water, when the nice men in the blue jumpsuits had found her and taken her back with them, talking about a water chip of sorts they had obtained. She had been too weak to try to run and too relieved to have been given water, nice tasting water, to keep them from bringing her into their Vault.

Now, after some sort of council in which she knows they were talking about her, she's sitting in the medical bay and that alone makes obvious to her what's about to happen: more experiments. More pain. They even gave her a giant syringe and she doesn't know what she's supposed to do with it. The man who is bringing her food is a giant, and she doesn't know how she's supposed to survive this. They had seemed so kind before. She flinces, covering her face with a hand and jumping back the moment his arm starts moving, terrified that she might irradiate the place and kill everyone. "Please, don't... I won't fight," she pleads, even if she's begging for him, so that she won't be once again standing before disfigured bodies. "Don't hurt me."

Terra was terrified. Her wrists were tied, but she knew that wouldn't do anything if she lost control again, nothing could stop the radiation - and the last thing she wanted was to see people melt before her eyes again. She had been lucky, sort of, because the bounty hunter had been distracted by chaos that had exploded in the city, and she had bolted at the first moment available, slipping down a slope and hiding behind a rock. There was something, a molerat, she remembered that one from the photos at the lab, but it ignored her, perhaps not smelling anything human about her. There was also someone else, and she dropped back to sit, exhausted. "Please... don't say anything, he's going to kill me." No, he wasn't, he wasn't going to do far worse, either bring her back or make her snap and then the melting would happen again.

The Darkling and Terra hadn't spent much time together, but from him she had learned that she had been used to bring destruction using an assortment of powers that weren't normally wielded by one person, until freed from a crown that kept her enslaved - and losing her memory in the process. He clearly meant to keep her, but war was calling for his attention, and so, to keep her content, he had entrusted her to the hands of Brekker, because he was the one who had found her and brought her to him unharmed as requested, and Terra had felt safe when with him and the Dregs. It was only after a couple of days that some flashes of memories had told her why she had felt safe around a group of men she didn't even know, and that it was safe because compared to what she had left behind. She hadn't wished to be a burden to anyone, so she hadn't said a word, but the memories had left her sadder, barely eating and not talking besides the various thank yous and 'good morning/night', either looking outside the windows or reading books to try to jog more than memories of torture. But nothing. Only pain and experiments and death, people terrified by her. Blood. Silence.

Terra had needed to escape outside, feeling like she couldn't breathe, and had sat down under the rain, hugging her legs to bring them closer to her chest and stay warmer, hoping the water would wash away the fear. And if not, at least it was better than the silence. She didn't know if the others had called him or Brekker had come out for some other reason, but not long after that she felt his presence. "Are you under threat or paid to keep me here?" she asked, still staring in front of her. The Darkling had been very polite to her, but she wasn't sure it was the same for everyone else.
