where are knuckles' ears

An... interesting question, certainly! Luckily, we were able to draw a quick diagram for you!

Like a real echidna, Knuckles' ears aren't external, so they're mostly hidden under his fur and spines.

~HISTORY~

Little is known about Longclaw's past, only that she settled near South Island decades ago. When a five year old Sonic stumbled across her hut, she opted to help mold his hyperactive aura into a force for good.

While Sonic is independent enough to save the world on his own several times over, he occasionally comes back to his old mentor for advice. Luckily, Longclaw is more than happy to give it over a good mug of cocoa.

Settling comfortably into his pre-teen persona, Miles "Tails" Prower has reached the highest of heavens!

~HISTORY~

Born to K. L. Amadeus and Mary Prower, a young Miles was often bullied by the townsfolk for the genetic mutation that gave him two tails. However, when the fox turned eight, he grew to idolize the folk hero Sonic after the latter chased off his harassers. The two developed an unlikely friendship and became a heroic duo, stopping Eggman whenever they could.

Now nicknamed Tails to spite his bullies, he would eventually be the youngest Mobian to ever gain a master's degree (at twelve!) and uses his vast knowledge to build a variety of inventions. He was even unofficially adopted by Sonic's family, and is now the hedgehog's empowered little brother.

So Helen is based after the character from Sonic X, right? I don't recall her ever having a last name mentioned in the show. Is there a reason you chose Cartwright?

Yup! The last name Cartwright is a reference to the character Helen Cartwright from NiGHTS, who coincidentally has the same first name as Sonic X's Helen! For an added bonus, they even look alike!

While they're not meant to be the same character in Terrasphere, we figured it would be a fun reference to another SEGA property. Especially considering NiGHTS' general presence in a lot of Sonic media!
