It’s almost been like clock work. Almost because he doubted this guy had any sense of time, but really, that didn’t matter.
Over the last few weeks this redhead has been coming down the same alley multiple times a week to come feed the cats, and each time Ace was happy to sit near by and watch him. He was meek, loved cats, and admittedly, his hair was an absolutely gorgeous colour, it made him happy just to see him.
There was a lot of questions, sure. Like who was he? Where did he come from? And why did he always show up covered in bandages? It worried him, if he was to be honest. Every time he looked at him he was overcome with the urge to protect and cuddle, and just seeing him over the last little while made him really happy.
No one came down here so often, and while he knew it was for the cats, but it was nice to have the company.
Today, he decided he was going to get some of those questions answered, sitting down near the garbage bin and going slack, Ace was using his illusions to make him look more cat like, from the more pronounced and fluffy ears to a more sleek tail as well as a sign that sat at his feet “Free to Take”. The good thing about possessing a doll, is it’s easy to get people to come to you, although maybe a cuter one would help? Oh well, much to late now.
His eyes follow Enma as he enters the alley way, the carton of cat food in hand and the way he smiled as the cats came out to greet him. He felt like he was seeing something private, something special...
Okay, he was smitten, he could admit that. However right now he was just going to play the part, quietly watching and hoping he would notice, and he could get the chance to say hello in the comfort of a home.
