If Terrance truly is the one who carried Henry, I can only imagine him initially hiding it from Wilford because he doesn't want his husband to leave him, especially with a child, because 1) Let's be honest you don't marry someone of the same gender expecting to expect a child, at least not a biological kid that is, and 2) What if Wilford thinks that Terrance is somehow secretly an inhuman monster because of the pregnancy? It's not exactly considered normal or even possible for men to get pregnant, what if Wilford no longer sees Terrance as a person because of that? And 3) Continuing off of that last point, What if Wilford tries to hurt him and/or the baby, thinking it will keep the clan safe? Would Terrance even be mentally able to fight back if that happens?

When in reality, Wilford's biggest concerns would be; A) How the actual hell Terrance managed to get pregnant, and B) As a man, can Terry even survive giving birth, and C) How the H E L L are THEY supposed to raise a child correctly Oh God OH f u c k he needs to buy an entire library of parenting books IMMEDIATELY-

Lol you nailed it on the head. In many of my AUs Terrence typically plays by different rules than most, for better or for worse. Whether it's him not being human or something else. He's seen and experienced things. Maddening things. The sort of things that you can't tell others without them going mad or turning on you. It's why he hides the truth from everyone else including his own husband.

"Better to be seen as weird or foolish than to be feared."

And then he got pregnant. With his track record he should've seen this coming. And the little guy looked so much like Wilford, couldn't lie that he adopted the baby. Wilford knows that Terrence isn't FTM, so couldn't use that as an explanation either. All the previous shenanigans he could bullshit his way out of, but not this. And that scared him. Would this be the straw that broke the camel's back?

Terrence's mind raced to the worst case scenarios. Wilford finally hitting his breaking point and wanting nothing more to do with him. The Clan finally starting to question how, or what Terrence even was. How he'd walk the halls of the airship with his child in tow feeling eyes on him no matter where he went. Would they kick him and his child out of the clan? Would they just kill them? Would they...would they....

.....

When Wilford learned about Henry, his son, the first thing that came out of his mouth was "Terrence I swear to god I didn't cheat on you I don't know how the hell this happened". After hesitantly explaining that Henry was his and Wilford's son, Wilford dragged Terrence and Henry to the medbay to get this straightened out.

After two positive paternity tests, a check up for Terrence to make sure he was okay, and a guide for raising a child, Terrence and Wilford sat in silence while Henry slept soundly in Terrence's arms.

Terrence broke the silence first, "Wilford, look, I know this is weird-"

"How is this possible? You're a guy. You didn't even show any signs. No bump, no nothing. Then suddenly you give birth?" Wilford asked incredulously.

Terrence's breath hitched, his heart beating faster. He tried to find words, something to explain this, anything. What could he say that didn't open up a can of worms? He focused so hard on trying to find something to say he didn't notice Wilford sat down beside him and gently wrapped an arm around Terrence.

"Easy Terry, breathe," Wilford said softly. Of all the years they've known each other Wilford had never seen his husband like this. Terrence took a slow shaky breath, trying not to wake Henry.

He sighed, "I'm sorry. I don't know if I can explain this. I know, I'm not normal. Not by a damn mile. I...I just...," Terrence stopped mid sentence. He couldn't bring himself to finish his train of thought. Thankfully he didn't have to.

"Terrence I'm just happy that you're alright for god's sake," Wilford said concerned. "Yeah I don't get how this is even happening right now, but it is. Just tell me that you're okay, that's all I care about right now."

While Wilford was understandably surprised, he looked to be taking it fairly well. Despite the insanity Wilford still cared for him. Terrence felt a huge weight had been lifted off of him. He nodded slowly.

Wilford stood up with a small smile, "Good, you and Henry get some rest. Now if you excuse me I gotta go grab some stuff. Think the Copperbottoms would have any parenting books left over?"

Terrence smiled wryly, "Considering how Reg turned out, I wouldn't count on those books being any good."

In a scenario where Wilford either survived whatever happened to him and only just got back to Terrance or was brought back to life, how would he react to suddenly being a father?

More importantly, how would he react to being the father of Henry Stickmin?

First off I'd like to apologize for not answering for a while. Life has been throwing curve ball after curve ball at me right now. I had planned on answering with two drawings but that will have to wait.

I've had some ideas of Wilford being Henry's biological father. I kinda draw them with similar features lol. Like either Wilford was married to Terrence's sister/another Toppat and had Henry, or Terrence himself had Henry (much to Wilford's bewilderment he's 80% sure Terrence doesn't have the equipment to carry a pregnancy).

If he comes back while Henry is still a baby or a child, he tries his best to be the father Henry needs him to be, but struggles a lot. Wilford never saw himself as being good with kids. Being a leader once again doesn't help. Thankfully the Toppat Clan acts as a big family when it comes to raising kids. And Terrence has no qualm stepping down from his role to be with Henry more.

Now, if Wilford came back after the events of THSC, great googly moogly he's in for a ride. Like try to see it from his perspective: the son he never knew he had is not only a world class thief, but also either the Toppat Clan's current chief or the Toppat Clan's greatest op with little in between. And then there's Terrence who raised Henry outside the clan. Wilford doesn't know whether to thank him or smack him.

If you couldn't guess, I like the latter a lot more 😈
