Day 10 of Stickmintober: Seasonal flu
Once every blue moon Terrence gets possession of the single brain cell between them.
Wilford is Terrance’s impulse control, while Terrance is Wilford’s morality check.
Six years.
That's how long it had been since he last saw his husband, Terrence. Six years since his own arrest and his husband taking over the clan in his stead. He had heard that the man had died in his dethronement, thrown off the edge of the airship for his reckless leadership.
Yet here Terrence stood, right in front of his very eyes. He had a rougher appearance since they last saw each other. His hair was messier. His clothes simpler than the outfits he wore in the clan, still had that monochrome aesthetic though. Terrence also gained a little more muscle with added scars and nicks here and there.
The man didn't make eye contact with him, choosing to look down at his feet. Neither said a word. Sir Wilford had so many questions.
'How did you survive?!'
'Why did you hide all this time from me I thought you were dead damnit!'
'What happened? Why did you lead the clan to almost ruin?'
None of these questions came out of Wilford's mouth. Instead one question burst its way though:
"How the hell did you manage to get even hotter?"
---
That got Terrence's attention, him looking up at Wilford and realizing his husband had only got hotter over the years. It took Terrence's impulsive mouth seconds to blurt out "Don't know, how did you get hotter?"
The tension that once filled the air deflated as Wilford and Terrence were on the cusps of laughter.
Wilford could only smile as he wrapped his arm around Terrence "I think we need to go elsewhere to catch up, don't think the sight of two middle age men breaking down laughing because of a question is something people want to see."
Terrence nodded, letting Wilford guide him through the busy sidewalks and streets to the small apartment Wilford called home. The two went inside and all Terrence could see was the familiar Wilford branded mess his husband was known for.
Terrence quickly went to work picking things up as he decided to explain everything that happened, knowing that Wilford was probably curious about everything.
"After you got arrested and sent to who knows where, I took over the Toppats because of ranking and all that. With me absolutely worried that something worse happened to you and honestly missing you badly and the growing pressure from the Elites to fill your shoes like I was some second coming of you, I cracked under pressure and eventually was dethroned by that Reginald kid."
"Falling off the Airship had sucked, especially since I was pretty sure I wasn't going to make it, but Canada's wonderfully tall trees slowed my fall enough that I didn't die, lots of scars but thankfully alive."
"So I have been traveling on foot from Canada all the way here, hearing rumors that you were locked away in this city's prison. Though I didn't expect you to get out so early."
Wilford smiled as he sank into his cheap recliner "So it turns out that the police that beat and arrested me, didn't follow a lick of protocol that day, so I took them to court, won and was able to get my own charges dropped."
"I only got out a few months ago, so I've only enjoyed the taste of freedom for a short time. But I did catch up on rumors and updates from the clan thanks to hidden sources, which is how I found out about the basics of you getting dethroned. The Elites were always a group of crying spoiled children with way too high expectations."
Terrence tossed a garbage bag full of junk outside and laid on the sofa next to Wilford. "It is just good to be reunited with you, Wilfy."
Wilford looked at Terrence with fondness "It's good to be back with you as well, Terry."
You've heard of Rave/Ruave/Suaveman...
You've heard of Radsir...
But have you heard of...
SuaveSir!?
Yes, I made ship art for another rare (practically non existent) ship. Sir Wilford IV x Terrence Suave! I might make a oneshot of these two! I decided to not draw hair on Terrence this time
Day 3 of Stickmintober: Cafe date
Nothing like going over notes with a coffee. Terrence is "totally" listening.
If Terrance truly is the one who carried Henry, I can only imagine him initially hiding it from Wilford because he doesn't want his husband to leave him, especially with a child, because 1) Let's be honest you don't marry someone of the same gender expecting to expect a child, at least not a biological kid that is, and 2) What if Wilford thinks that Terrance is somehow secretly an inhuman monster because of the pregnancy? It's not exactly considered normal or even possible for men to get pregnant, what if Wilford no longer sees Terrance as a person because of that? And 3) Continuing off of that last point, What if Wilford tries to hurt him and/or the baby, thinking it will keep the clan safe? Would Terrance even be mentally able to fight back if that happens?
When in reality, Wilford's biggest concerns would be; A) How the actual hell Terrance managed to get pregnant, and B) As a man, can Terry even survive giving birth, and C) How the H E L L are THEY supposed to raise a child correctly Oh God OH f u c k he needs to buy an entire library of parenting books IMMEDIATELY-
Lol you nailed it on the head. In many of my AUs Terrence typically plays by different rules than most, for better or for worse. Whether it's him not being human or something else. He's seen and experienced things. Maddening things. The sort of things that you can't tell others without them going mad or turning on you. It's why he hides the truth from everyone else including his own husband.
"Better to be seen as weird or foolish than to be feared."
Day 24 of Toppat week: Dance!
Nothing like a nice duet after a heist well done.
When your lovers are two of the worst leaders of the clan but my god do they look good in dresses.
