Two terrible dogs...
The arrival of Duncan has brought about some significant changes to our home. Stella has matured beautifully, and seemingly overnight. He was completely potty trained in just under a week, and is *super* responsive to commands.
That being said, we have been taking a few 'chances' that we normally would never even consider at this point.
Look at these two silly dogs. You can see Stella has a crazy. You can also tell Duncan is zooming towards her at top speeds.
Anyway, they play together really well, and we'd not had any incidents of behavior that was too terrible, and so we decided we'd allow them to remain free instead of crating them when we leave.
We started out small. We left them alone a few times while we ran errands and stuff, and all was well. The next day, same thing. Then we decided to try them alone while went off to work. We have a doggie door, so going out to potty and play is no problem. Anyway, several days went by, and all was well.
There was a ton of wrestling:
Biting, chewing, playing...
A game or two of 'tug'...
But then...then I came home and noticed that Stella Blue seems to have enjoyed a slight snack of sheetrock outside of our bedroom (the same place she decided to have a sheetrock snack once before). We decided to let it go and tried her the next day-- and yep- that crazy, terrible dog ate more wall.
And so, my sweet pups have been relegated to life back in the crate when we leave. They are most displeased, but my walls are safe once again!
