I will not joke around. This is a very serious subject. srsly Have you read The Infernal Devices? Well, the book holds two young men, or shadowhunters. They are parabati, basically sworn brothers. They are best friends and would die for one another, one of the main points of the parabati. But they both met this one girl named Tessa. Will and Jem, the two men, both instantly fall in love with her. And from here on, is the connection between this book series and Vampire Diaries. Jem and Stefan are the safe harbor. The one person whom Tessa or Elena can always go back to for some reassurance, or comfort. Because he can take away all of your insecurities with those perfect words. But Will and Damon. They're the ocean. They take you places, and like Rose said, "He challenges her," they question themselves when they are around one another. They understand one another’s small actions, and are able to get the other’s most unnoticeable ways. They have an undeniable passion for each other. And the two of them, Will and Damon both love Tessa/Elena so much more than their own lives, they’d die for her. But another thing that they’re both willing to do which must be the 100-fold of the pain of dying, is allowing them to walk into their brother’s arms without even a whisper.
