Wrote another fanfic for the Perks of Being an S-Class Heroine, where I let my imagination run wild about a scene that happens off-screen.

This time, I was thinking about what happens between these two scenes in the manhwa, after the Millennial Ice Palace subjugation at the end of Chapter 94:

During the dungeon, Tez can't eat with everyone else because of the shard in his mouth, and Ailette says/implies that she'll get him something to eat after he's able to get the shard out. The scene isn't shown in either the manhwa or the novel because it likely would've been pure filler with no real plot relevance.

Buuuut since canon does not provide nearly enough fluff to satisfy my little fangirl heart, I wrote the scene of her treating him myself. (Full description below cut)

Modern AU Streamer Ailette x Priest-in-Training Tesilid

Hestio & Ephael left their church at the first opportunity, but they still keep in contact with Tesilid. They're the reason Tesilid knows about Ailette's channel.

Tesilid still chose to become a priest because he wants to guide lost sheep and all that.

Tesilette met once when they were children, when Ailette came to visit the to city that Bianca's grandmother lived in and accompanied Cartelyena to her church.

Tesilid recognises Ailette instantly. Of course he does. He had a massive crush on Ailette when they were kids, and even discounting that, their meeting changed the trajectory of his life. Something Ailette said or did back then gave him the resolution to follow his heart and push back on conservative doctrine and fight for what he actually believed in (in his very polite and nonconfrontational manner). [Parallel Canon Tesilid's refusal to kill heretics despite being repeatedly punished or sanctioned for it.]

Tesilid would be one of those really chill pastors who don't care what you believe in so long as you aren't hurting anyone or hurting yourself.

Tesilid saves lost souls by sheperding them. Ailette saves hearts by being their oshi, and also she drains their wallets to fill hers. Tesilid is one such victim.

Ailette is very confident, true to herself, never afraid to back down and never afraid to call out bullshit. She doesn't exactly advertise her dislike of the church, but she doesn't shy from speaking plainly and critically about its hypocrisy/corruption.

So when she announces her marriage and that it's to a priest of all people, everyone kind of goes ballistic.

They trend for about a week or so. Screencaps of Tesilid's face are everywhere on the internet.

Ailette's subscriber count goes up by a lot. They're here for Tesilid's face and grace.

Ailette happily shows him off. They do tours of his church and church activities (Ailette's excuse to spend working hours with Tesilid).

Tesilid doesn't even try to evangelise. He very clearly makes it cater to the general audience (when he and Ailette are not getting sidetracked at least, by something inane and mundane and domestic like going ooooh look at that cute bird on the windowsill! So cute. Let's take five to watch it and listen to its birdsong ☺️)

Tesilid's church gets a lot of publicity from Ailette's streams and so a lot of people probably end up joining his church.

Ailette would be jealous of all the people who joined just so they could see Tesilid and spend time with him, but Tesilid makes it very obvious that he only has eyes for her. (She's still upset that they spend most of their time apart because of their jobs though.)

Ailette uses her huge bank and generational wealth to establish a new church where Tesilid (and Cartelyena and her people) can comfortably establish their own space and doctrine. She accidentally ends up being a key religious figure in the country. Yes she is still streaming.

I am spamming the world with yet another fanfic. For this one, it didn’t occur to me until I was almost finished that it is the second fanfic I've written where Tez and Agnes hang out while Ailette is conked out from the Holy Fever. This was completely unintentional, and I hope forgivable since they each have a very different mood (fluff and humor vs. angst).

This was inspired by @microwaving-tesilid-argente and her post about Reed acting like a jealous ex. As I wrote, it kinda snowballed from there and became about Tesilid angsting over his past/Ailette being hurt, and then Agnes elbowed me in the face about halfway through and took the whole thing over.

Fic with a Major Character Death warning that is about tesilid watching helplessly as ailette dies and all the angst that comes with it, and it suddenly snaps to tesilid returning to reality and realising that oh-- that was just a vision that a demon in the dungeon cast upon him. He hasn't even seen Ailette in the last three hundred years.
