i'm gonna chatter about my oc's

vittoria wears an odd combination of armor (glass cuirass, permanent bound everything else). if she's on a contract, she wears the shrouded armor. she prefers to fight with an unenchanted daedric war axe and shield, is a capable marksman, and doesn't use magic other than some minor restoration and night-eye.

midimir varyori is a dunmer who belongs to the mages guild. he makes it his business to know everything and everyone he can. midimir uses a shock-enchanted shortsword and shield. he can use a bow if he must but prefers not to, and his favorite school is illusion.

raseri is a nord werewolf, the listener and a companion. she had rather an unhappy childhood and killed grelod the kind because she sympathized with aventus. most of the time she wears the shrouded armor, but for general adventuring or if she knows she's heading into a bigger fight she'll wear ebony. raseri dual-wields daedric daggers and is an incredibly skilled marksman.

sidste is a breton. she lived in helgen up until alduin reduced it to a smoking pile of rubble, after which she strikes out on her own and ends up at the college of winterhold. before, she used a bow and dagger; after, she prefers destruction magic and, if need be, a sword.

what omg i am not prepared

under a readmore because apparently i am very prepared and it turned into an essay SORRY

my original oblivion character is an imperial named vittoria. she’s the champion of cyrodiil and the madgod, and joins the dark brotherhood but isn’t the listener and doesn’t go through that questline. she lives in the imperial city with her parents and sister until her dad, a traveling merchant, gets killed by bandits on the road to skingrad. a few months later she finds out that one of the men who did it is near the city, so she hunts out and kills him. then lucien appears and does his whole ~*~YOU SLEEP RATHER SOUNDLY FOR A MURDERER~*~ thing; she’s still furious and high on adrenaline and so she agrees to join the brotherhood. she’s not bloodthirsty and prefers to kill quick and clean, and spend the gold on drowning the twinge of guilt in the pit of her stomach.

about a year later she gets set up on a contract and arrested, spending a few weeks in jail before the mythic dawn comes after uriel vii and oblivion starts. i still have to work out the entire timeline and how she manages to do both the shivering isles and main quests (this must have been a really long crisis), but probably at some point the mythic dawn kills her mother as a warning, probably right before dagon shrine. in return, when she infiltrates lake arrius caverns, she butchers everyone there, even the ones who ran. afterwards she’s angry and upset and a little horrified at what she just did, so she runs to the isles. when she goes back to cyrodiil she returns to cheydinhal to find that the sanctuary’s been purified, so she goes back to cloud ruler where martin’s like THE FUCK YOU BEEN WE GOT WORK TO DO HERE, and proceeds along the main questline until she gets a message from my other db character who doesn’t exist yet telling her to get to applewatch NOW. those events happen, and when she learns bellamont’s story it really hits home. she never goes back to the brotherhood. 

instead, she runs back to the isles and ends up assuming the mantle of sheogorath, which terrifies her. after returning to cyrodiil, the rest of the main quest happens and she’s left alone and depressed and probably a little traumatized because hell, all her friends are dead. everyone at cheydinhal is gone, lucien (who was a mentor to her) is a mutilated corpse, martin (she grew really very fond of him in a strictly platonic way) is a stone statue, and she’s really got no one left except for my character midimir, who’s hardly the touchy-feely type and she feels like he doesn’t care that much for her. so she leaves midimir the key to her house in cheydinhal and goes back to the isles to rule permanently because she feels like she’s got nothing else left, and turns into the sheogorath you meet in skyrim.

aha none of this is set in stone and it’s going to change as i make more characters (i think i want five more for oblivion because i’m insane) but that’s how her story stands now

ih ad an idea for a character shes basically hanji except khajit and obsessed w/ daedra instead of titans

she 'works' as a traveling historian/archaeologist/myth-buster, going around and exploring ruins, investigating temples and especially urban legends and popular mythology

also she was orphaned by a bandit attack when she was a teenager and taken in by a Nord man who trained her as an archer, so she can defend herself v. well
