Not from a thrift store (rather a local fair) but most definitely shifty. A set of makeup brushes with some the most baffling and hilarious "translations" I've ever seen and a probably ai printed balloon decoration where they didn't bother to remove the default placeholder text. Found in southeast PA.

So I finally made use of that random practice print we did at the library that was just a Sanders Sides grid in Pic Collage. This zine is a single sheet folded in the typical 8 panel fold, but instead of the center cut, you cut from the side across 3/4 of the folds. This was made on sheet of scrapbooking card stock.

And when you flip the whole book around and open the book from behind, you’ll get a diagram of a brain. It’s two separate sections, but when you flatten the book it comes together to make Thomas’s mind whole:

My grandfather died.

In the past two days (nights really) I made this linocut of him, as a way of finding closure.

My feelings for him are ambivalent. I admire him as an artist, musician, creative thinker and craftsman; yet at the same time these same accomplishments hurt me time and time again because I was never good enough, never met his standards.

So, I made art about the artist and for once I don't have to face his criticism.

This is the first testprint. I see some areas that need a few adjustments but overall I'm satisfied with the results.

Below is the same print but digitally cleaned and polished. When I have a proper print, I will reblog this on my art account @daydreaming-realist .

Zutaraweek 2024 - Day 7: Sweet

Lol I skipped the day 6, I got carried away as I was inspired by the last prompt and suddenly finished my personal Zutara sticker sheets~ hahaha

What do you think? Aren't they cute?! 💕

It's kinda difficult to find sticker vendor in my country tho..but I think this one ends up pretty good~
