But I wonder if I have gone through most of it now? Full movie: https://youtu.be/Zpisz92cQG8
Do you re-do the questions you’ve done? Are you going to write the answers on the book or on a piece of paper?
Yeah, I do, but I follow this system. I categorize the questions I’ve done into three categories, which are respectively marked with…
1. NothingThese are the ones I’ve answered correctly with little hesitation/halts in calculation. Give me these kinds of problems 10000000 times and I’ll probably get them right every single time. Sometimes I make small mistakes in calculation, like the common 3x2=5. These I ignore, making a mental note to be more careful next time and move on.
2. TriangleType A: I had to think for a bit before coming across the correct answer, or consulted the answer booklet halfway through, but immediately got it after doing so.Type B: “I thought what I did was right-wait, it wasn’t, and now I understand why.”
3. StarThis category is reserved for the ones I really don’t understand. I’ve pored through the answer booklet, reread the material, and still can’t figure out why.
With the categorizing out of the way, and after asking a teacher/friend about the stars, the next thing I do is to retest myself before an exam. I cover up the answers and redo the triangles and the stars. I aim to get about 80~85% of the questions right each time, otherwise I’m just going to reread the material and do the same thing again another way.
What I learned in class today. :)
