Tumblr as a blog platform

Interesting to see if I can use tumblr as a minimalist blogging platform, just a place where I can put my writing online without having to worry too much about hosting and a domain.

No point in getting my hand dirty with all that until I have not posted a thing or two to see how it works.

I am testing out tumblr capabilities.

I see that you cannot include embed code from Google+ Posts like the one I am linking to here.

Instead, the workaround answer is to post a Link on tumblr to direct people to read your posts in their original locations.

Am I wrong?
