I am not dead by any means, zhough zhat vas somevhat of a mixed blessing. Und fortune is kind of a bitch, but I am sure you are similarly aware of zhat.

Long time no see. I wondered vhat happened to you. I, at least, hoped you vere alright. And fortune has decided to deal me wildcards lately, but I'm alright now, for ze most part. As long as ze medication doesn't fail me. I like ze fact I cannot hear zhem anymore.
