How do the slashers react to finding a lost child?
(Child is around 5-6 years old, gender-neutral they/them pronouns are used, no description is given for the child)
Fic includes: Albert Wesker, Asa Emory/The Collector, Brahms Heelshire, Bo, Vincent, and Lester Sinclair, Bubba, Chop Top, Nubbins, and Drayton Sawyer, Ghostface, Hannibal Lecter, Harry Warden, Jason Voorhees, Ji-Woon Hak/The Trickster, Karl Heisenberg, Michael Myers, Ruben Victoriano/Ruvik, Stefano Valentini, and Tommy Hewitt.
Albert Wesker:
Wesker has one of two reactions based on the child’s demeanor; if they’re unruly, wild, and not well-behaved or loud, it’s disgust and disdain. Not at the child, they’re not to blame, they’re still learning, after all. No, it’s at the parents and their lack of proper teaching and responsibility. He’ll take the child to the nearest safe point or just hand them over to Chris or any other survivor he comes across and that will be that.
If the child is well-mannered, curious, and quiet, he views them as a potential apprentice. He could keep the child and raise them himself. It couldn’t be that hard, right? He’s handled more stressful scenarios. He was wrong, but he will still do his best if no one is looking for or claims the child. Surprisingly actually an excellent parental figure, political and ethnic cleansing opinions aside.
Asa Emory/The Collector:
Oh no there’s a child. Why was there a child, and how did they get in? He gets to them as quickly as he can and makes a game out of the mandatory traps to get out of that area, showing them the way or simply picking them up and making his way through with them. He can’t let the kid go since they snatched his mask out of curiosity and now knows what he looks like and where he is, so he supposes he has a child now. If there are victims going through the place he drops them off with his favorite and keeps a close eye on said victims to make sure they don’t reach them. If not, he takes them straight to his home and puts them to bed, locking the door behind him.
Brahms Heelshire:
The Heelshire manor had always housed one child; him. Does not take kindly to another suddenly letting themselves in and does his utmost to frighten the child out of the house. If they leave, he doesn’t feel bad in the slightest. But if they’re stubborn and have no place left to go, he will begin to feel bad about it. The child may wake up with a blanket over them that they did not go to bed with. There might be sandwiches left on the counter with a note attached letting them know it’s for them and to apologize for scaring them. Maybe they could be friends?
Bo, Vincent, and Lester Sinclair:
Lester disturbs everyone’s peace when he finds the kid apparently dumped by their parents on the side of the road. He bursts into Bo’s shop and hollers about how he found them, filled with rage and going on about how anyone could do that to their kid, especially in the middle of summer! Bo stands with his arms crossed and his eyebrows raised in shock as his younger brother goes on and on, then finally stops his rambling.
“And now the kid’s in the truck with the windows up in the middle of summer while you rant and rave about ‘em?!”
Bo and Lester disturb Vincent who was working in the basement of the house by practically kicking in the door and fussing over the kid while Bo shouts for Vincent to come upstairs.
They spend far too long trying to figure out what to do with the kid as they play with Vincent and Bo’s old toys, Lester on the ground half playing with them, half discussing with his brothers. They finally come to the conclusion that they can’t do anything besides take the kid in themselves. They’re not the best role models, but they do their utmost. Bo even quits smoking.
Bubba, Chop Top, Nubbins, and Drayton Sawyer:
Panicking, panicking, panicking! Why didn’t these people tell anyone they had a kid with them?! The kid is currently clinging onto Bubba’s apron quietly watching the chaos while Bubba squeals and babbles frantically while Drayton’s shouting at him to shut up, and Chop Top and Nubbins are trying to sneak up to the kid and distract them. They finally come to terms with the fact they have a new family member now. If the parent confronts them about how they’re their child, no they aren’t. Finders keepers, and besides, they named them so now they’re attached. Bubba is also very protective of them, and Chop Top and Nubbins are the fun uncles.
Ghostface:
Oh shit, that’s a whole child. That someone has locked out of the house he’s currently trying to get into, for his own personal reasons. Tells the kid to hold tight, he’s gonna do something and be right back. Gets in the house and does his thing, comes back out and picks up the kid making sure they can’t see inside the house and takes them to his house instead. Calls the cops and reports the murder claiming the kid was the only survivor because he saved them, meanwhile the child is sitting next to him playing peek-a-boo with his mask.
Hannibal Lecter:
Who’s child is this and why are they unattended at the airport? Shakes his head and asks the child if they know who or where their parents are, and when they nod he picks them up places them on his hip, and walks them to security, thinking the whole time how their only saving grace is that they’re parents to this well-behaved child. Once the child is safe, he resumes his usual business.
Harry Warden:
Oh my god, why is there a child in the mines? Who did this? Much like Bubba, he’s panicking, albeit internally. He leads them out to safety and makes sure they’re found and safe. If they have nowhere to go and try to beg him to let them stay, it’s a no either way. He’ll scruff them and carry them out to the exit if he has to, and will repeat this as many times as necessary to get the message across. He’s patient.
Jason Voorhees:
There’s a child lost at the camp. The councilors are losing their minds trying to find them. He wishes they put that much effort into him, forgets the councilors, and starts looking too. He finds the child a short while later in an old forgotten canoe far away from the water in the woods, curled up sleeping with their arms wrapped tightly around them. He knows they’re going to die if they stay out there, so he very carefully scoops them up, careful not to wake them, and brings them to a chair outside a cabin, making sure not to be seen as he pats their head and walks away.
Ji-Woon Hak/The Trickster:
… Why the hell is there a child in this trial? Curses and is split on what to do. On one hand, he would like to continue this trail, and on the other hand, there is a child right in front of him staring at him in wonder. He hides the kid, tells them to stay put and that he’ll be back for them, and hopes they listen. If they listened, he breathes a sigh of relief, admittedly having rushed the trial so he could get back to them. If they didn’t, he panics for a small amount of time before shrugging it off and assuming one of the survivors found them. Not the strongest parental instincts, but he does worry a little about them.
Karl Heisenberg:
Freaks out. Absolutely freaks out. Not at the kid, at the scenario. There’s a small child in his factory with Sturm wandering about and around a hundred dangerous pieces of machinery, sharp objects, and all manners of OSHA violations, not to mention the rust on everything! He scoops the kid up keeping them on his hip and marches straight to his sisters with no shame or hesitance. He doesn’t care what Donna or Alcina think of him, they’re the women, more importantly, Alcina is a mother of three, and he needs help, now. He begs one of them to babysit just for a little bit while he baby-proofs the factory to the best of his ability. Why doesn’t he just leave the kid with them, you might ask? Because he’s not letting Miranda get her hands on this one. He will hide them at all costs and take care of them. They’re not ending up like him and his ‘siblings’.
Michael Myers:
There’s a child in his house. Why is there a child in his house? He doesn’t exactly care why or how, he’s just initially confused. Makes mock charges and attempts to kill the kid, entirely for the purpose of scaring them away. If they catch on and won’t budge, he’ll grab them by their shirt and toss them out himself. If the kid’s stubborn or they have nowhere else to go, he begrudgingly accepts the fact that he has a new roommate. They’ll leave eventually. Right?
Ruben Victoriano/Ruvik:
Older brother mode activated. This kid isn’t Leslie and therefore he has no real use for them. Shows them around the manor, assigning them his old room for them to sleep in, and he keeps them safe from harm. If Sebastian catches him with the kid and questions why he’s taking care of them unlike how he treats Leslie or anyone else, he simply shrugs. He doesn’t even know why he’s doing it, or how they even got there. Just feels right.
Stefano Valentini:
For once actually tries to hide his art. The kid was walking into the room which housed his latest creation, Obscura, and he needed to stop them and quickly. Teleports a fair distance away so he doesn’t scare them and attempts to distract them with questions like where their parents were, how old were they, and what’s their favorite color. He takes hold of their hand and walks them to where Lily is being kept. He supervises them for a little, grimacing at Sebastian’s persistent and destructive efforts to gain his attention, and when he’s sure they get along and are fine for a little while, he leaves to take care of some things. Sebastian is quite shocked when it’s not just Lily he finds.
Tommy Hewitt:
Stands still as a statue as he processes the kid’s presence and tries not to scare them with his intimidating size, gaze, and mask. When the kid is unbothered by any of it, simply asking where their parents were, he picks them up and puts them on his shoulders, taking them straight to Luda Mae who fusses over them while Tommy and her keep Hoyt away from them. Luda and Tommy happily welcome the newest member of the family.
