Ingredients: 1 lb smoked Texas brisket, shredded. 4 burger buns, split and toasted. 4 slices cheddar cheese. 1/2 cup barbecue sauce. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1/4 cup sliced pickles. 1/4 cup sliced red onion. Lettuce leaves. Salt and black pepper to taste.
Instructions: To begin, heat your grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high. The shredded smoked Texas brisket should be split into 4 equal parts and then shaped into burger patties. Put a little salt and black pepper on each patty to taste. The brisket burger patties should be cooked on the grill or griddle for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are hot all the way through and have a nice char on the outside. In the last minute of cooking, cover and put a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. This will melt the cheese. In a small bowl, mix the barbecue sauce and mayonnaise to make a tasty sauce while the brisket burgers are cooking. Spread the barbecue mayo sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun before putting the burgers together. Put a brisket burger patty with melted cheddar cheese on top of the bun that has sauce on it. On top of the patty, put slices of pickles, red onion, and lettuce leaves. To finish your Smoked Texas Brisket Burger, put the top half of the toasted bun on top. Enjoy while it's hot with your favorite sides.
