Jake experiencing ghost feels yet again when he dreams of what happens when Raleigh!Bradley got separated from his dad as they piloted the Jaeger years ago, the mental bond severed abruptly. Jake wakes up feeling like he's missing a part of his soul. After that, he realises what Bradley must be going through every single time he relives that loss, and he vows never to do that to Bradley.
He doesn't care if he technically cannot predict what the future may hold. He's still making that promise.
Oh man, the aspects of Ghosting Drifting is so cool, right? Cause not only can the two pilots share an almost active link outside of the neural bridge, but they can also begin to pick up the characteristics of the other (like you mentioned in your last ramble lol) and so can you imagine Bradley having an aversion to something like showers in the morning and then suddenly he's rising with the sun and showering right away? While Jake can't seem to get out of bed to go for his runs and demands the most time under the covers haha
I do really wanna explore the grief and intricacy of just how horrible it would've felt for Bradley to have his co-pilot ripped away while still connected on such an intrinsic level. How it would impact a possible new co-pilot, whether it's through R.A.B.I.T's or ghost drifting or just the neural handshake in general.
