Jack’s body possessed by a random demon?

I don’t think so!!

How does a so-called ‘demon nobody’ that just so happens to know such convenient spells that the boys have *never heard about before* and are as easy as dirt and blood WHOOO MAGIC

I find that hard to believe.

For a moment I thought it was just lazy writing. Like ‘oh we gotta get them out of here and disperse the ghosts let’s just do convenience boop done.

But then Cas also called it out “and you just so happen to know the spell?”

They know this demon guy is awfully convenient.

So like... who else do we know that can do stuff with just the snap of a finger, or the clap of a hand, Is still alive and also, seems to like awfully convenient inventions... I don’t know like a random gun that shoots both ways?

Oh right!!

I say that demon guy is actually Chuck.

That or they are introducing a new villain.

Because introducing a good character that just magically fixes stuff with no catch is not their kinda thing. When you have a character that is all-powerful and is acting like a petulant writer, sometimes it’s hard to separate the writers being writers and the writers doing something with said character. I start getting the feeling that writing meta for this season will be very hard, but here is my first attempt. :shrug:

Also, some of Alex’s acting somehow reminds me of Chuck as well, but that might just be me. I’ll take another look when I re-watch.

So I finally got around to watching the last half of season 14 of SPN

SPN 14x17 to 14x19

I just... I can’t like it?

I am so conflicted, on one hand, I really enjoy the directing and the acting. On the other hand are these characters like... not talking or what?

Are they not being logical?

Are they blind?

Are the writers blind?

Because you can’t show me Jack regretting his mistake so much and clearly dealing with some sort of deep mental health issue and then expect me to believe he really lost his soul completely and is just a monster now. You can’t just show Jack calling Mary mom while he is clearly regretting what happened and tell me that he is the same as soulless!Sam who let Dean become a vampire and was willing to kill Bobby for his own selfish reasons. They are not the same and I actually think that if Sam, Dean, and/or Cas saw Jack in the state he is they would probably know that he does still have a soul.

Like how can I tell and they can’t? It makes no sense, people without souls only think about the logical way to keep themselves alive. Jack would have simply decided to lie to Sam and Dean and tell them that Nick / Lucifer killed Mary and NOT GIVE A DAMN instead he is on the verge of tears like 99% of the time and wanting for his mom (Mary) to come back. I honestly think that just talking to Rowena should be enough to at least make them doubt the “Jack lost his soul” narrative, especially because of all the “Jack is family” talk. Instead everyone acts like they are somehow a 100% sure Jack has no soul wtf? Honestly, do these characters just not talk anymore?

For example, why does Cas talk like he has no idea that Jack tried to bring Mary back? Not to mention he clearly also didn’t talk to Rowena.

Cas says: “Jack may not even realize what he did was wrong.”

HOW IS THAT THE ARGUMENT HERE?!

Jack tried to bring Mary back and it failed, if he thought that Mary dying was okay why would he try to bring her back?

Also, I don’t get it? They clearly did talk to Rowena since Dean explains the whole “the spell only brought back an empty replica of Mary’s body” blah blah blah. So they spoke with Rowena but have no idea that Jack said it was an accident?????!!!!

Did Rowena NOT speak at all about what Jack told her? Why the hell do they all act like they don’t know Jack said it was an accident and he didn’t actually mean it? That he was just overwhelmed. Listen, maybe (and that’s a big MAYBE) I could understand if they knew and punctuated it with “well we don’t know what actually happened he could have lied about it being an accident” instead we get “he may not know he did something wrong”???? What???

Are two different people who refuse to talk to each other writing this?

FUCKING SHIT BUCKLEMING DO YOU NOT EVEN READ THE SCRIPTS FROM BEFORE YOUR EPISODE ON TOP OF NOT TALKING TO EACH OTHER?! Because listen okay the Rowena thing happened in episode 18 so WHY THE FUCK DOES CAS IN EPISODE 19 ACT LIKE HE HAS NO CLUE?!

Who the fuck gave the pre-season finale to these idiots?

And listen here!! Berens why you letting me down, buddy? Dean was all over the place in 14x18 I get it his mom’s death, but listen. Why does he act like the snake event is irrelevant and then blame Cas for Mary’s death?

ALSO while we touch that fucking subject why the ever loving fuck does Dean accept that they really can’t go blaming each other while talking with Sam and then in 14x19 he is again looking at Cas as if he still blames him for Mary’s dead. It does not make sense, it feels hella fucking forced and it makes me wanna barf. NOT because of Destiel mind you, the Destiel drama is fine, it feeds the fanfics. No, my issue is that Dean is my favorite character and you are not writing him properly. Either he is going full stubborn or he accepts he can’t blame someone else because he got warnings about Jack as well and he didn’t listen to them. PICK ONE OR THE OTHER. Either he understands he did have warnings or he blames other people for not warning him, you can’t have it both ways just for the drama. That’s bad writing.

Man and I am just 6 minutes into 14x19

tl;dr: The continuity between SPN 14x18 and 14x19 sucks character wise. The subtext in all three episodes, from SPN 14x17 to SPN 14x19 is completely at odds with the actual text and it annoys me to no end. Characters are not being consistent and apparently not talking for no apparent reason than to justify them acting like complete idiots. (ie: Why does Cas speak like he has no idea Jack tried to bring Mary back or what he said to Rowena? How is “he may not know he did something wrong” a stronger argument than “he said it was an accident!”??? Someone explain that to me.) This is painful to watch.

Can’t wait to see just how awful the rest of the episode can get yay

Ah, the sims

I made Team Free Will 2.0 (+ Gabriel) in the sims 4 and Gabriel being the goofball he is somehow started flirting whit Sam, so Sabriel happened. They are now together, and they are so disgustingly sweet that sometimes if Sam like walks by Gabriel (on his way to read a book or whatever) Gabriel will automatically stop whatever he is doing JUST to go and kiss Sam. Literally nothing else.

He just goes, kisses him, and then goes right back to what he was doing before. All on his own? It’s so sweet I can’t even. (On the other hand the only thing Dean and Cas know how to do is Whoohoo like there is no tomorrow?? The other time Castiel interrupted Dean while he was cooking breakfast just to have sex with him... completelly unprompted? He just woke-up and was like “YEP, Morning Whoohoo it is.”)
