Once again feeling ill over the fact that Ethan's relationship with Julia is like the only period in the Mission Impossible films where Ethan gets to experience softness and good things, being treated like a person and living (more or less) like a normal human being. Aside from Julia, he has her family, who he seems to have a good relationship with, and, even if the people at the house party are Julia's friends primarily, they are people who think he's a regular human being and treat him like that. He has a dog. He has a family. He's the most important person in the world to Julia and she's the most important to him.
And then he goes from waking up beside her every morning to waking up alone in yet another safehouse with only nightmares and a gun for company.
