You and Teylan met at the Great Na'vi Games that the Zeswa held. It was there that you saw the curious young na'vi interacting with Kin. It amused you endlessly to see how he interacted with the others at the camp, how he interacted with Zakru. You even heard that it was here that he rode a pa'li for the first time. He was charming, seeing Pandora's wonders for the first time so purely. You met around the fire one night. He was sitting on a log, holding some sort of sky people 'technology' as they called it. Interested, you sat down next to him, holding some meat skewers from the hunt you had partaken in earlier in the day. He awkwardly fidgeted with something on his strange vest- must have been some sky person attire. "You must be Sarentu." you said to him with a smile, offering him a skewer. "Oh! Um- yes! I am! Wow, did this come from the hunt earlier? Thank you!" He gratefully accepted the skewer and started eating with you. You both ate in silence for a while, comfortably. He looked like like he wanted to tell you something, so you scooted closer and looked over his shoulder. "What is this... gadget you have? Why do you use it?" "Oh!" Teylan blinked, stunned. You had grown to realize that that was not common- but he swallowed with a grin "You're interested in what's on my tablet?" "Yes, I suppose I am." something about this strange Sarentu made your mouth curve into a smile. "Well- actually- right now I'm looking at the data of the comms of the RDA, so we can track them! And make sure they don't come back again-" Teylan went on and on. You barely followed while he spoke his sky people words, but you listened anyway. It was nice to listen, and you found it cute how invested he was in this, 'tablet' he called it. ⚬────────────────────✧─────────────────────⚬

The two of you grew closer through the games and even closer through the months you were apart. Since the games had ended, Teylan had given you comms and a holotablet to communicate. Teylan was worried that you wouldn't like to speak to him anymore, that you'd forget about him, or that you wouldn't like using sky people technology to talk to him. But you didn't feel any of those things. For the first month or so you two spent hours each day speaking to each other. Now, you had learned to enjoy the 'silence' with one another. You felt calm in each others presence, but you didn't lose the spark. You learned new things about one another every day, you both talked of your pasts, and you accepted each other wholly. The others had noticed Teylan being off on his own more, and they were somewhat worried about him at first- but soon enough they had realized, he seemed genuinely happier. Tamtey in particular was so intrigued by Teylan's strange happy moods, poking at him lovingly to tell them what was going on. It wasn't like he was usually sad- he was happy with the Sarentu family they had built, but he seemed so different, in a good way. "What has you smiling Teylan?" "Oh- Just some data!" he'd lie. It worked though. So'lek found him out on his one day, outside the base and speaking on a private comms line. He didn't overhear anything really- but he saw the look on Teylan's face, how content he seemed, and understood what must have been going on. ⚬────────────────────✧─────────────────────⚬

The Sarentu family, minus Teylan-- had naturally gathered to talk in the cave of their clouded forest base. Just as Ri'nela was about to ask where Teylan had gone, the group turned to see him, and you, walking from the cave entrance. None of the other Sarentu had ever met you before- not to mention anyone at the resistence. Tamtey squinted at you with a hand to their chin, perhaps they had seen you before and were trying to figure you out. Upon seeing their reactions, you turned to Teylan giving him a teasing smile, and whispered "You didn't tell them yet, did you?" "Well- I- uh.. I wanted to tell them today! But then you said you were arriving early and-" "Don't worry about it Ma' Teylan." You whispered back, a hand gently pressing against his elbow, guiding him towards the others. Teylan's cheeks burned bright purple. You met the Sarentu, the family Teylan gushed about so often. They looked confused, all but So'lek, who sported a small smile of recognition. Ri'nela smiled gently, "Welcome back Teylan, and who might this be?" she took her hand to her forehead in gesturing to the arrival of both Na'vi, her brother and this new friend. You did the same. "I forgot to tell any of you- uh.. I was going to say it today- but this is y/n! I am courting them!" Teylan kept clarifying, saying "well, we are courting each other-" but it felt like time stopped. Both Tamtey and Ri'nela's mouths dropped, their eyes blinking. Even Priya had heard it and practically fallen over from the shock. So'lek was the first to speak, replying straightforwardly, "It is nice to meet you, I am glad for you Teylan, truly." He clapped him on the back, and you couldn't help but chuckle. Ri'nela and Tamtey's mouths kept open, as other members of the resistance who had heard the news came over to say congratulations. "You're Teylan's mate to be?" Tamtey's mouth somehow opened wider, and you felt a flush over your cheeks. It felt so strange to hear it come from another person. "Yes.. I am." You took a hand around Teylan's waist and he placed his hand on yours, slightly shy, but plain in his affection. Without missing a beat, you turned your head and pressed a kiss onto his cheek. Teylan let out a small 'eek' and smiled widely. "Hey!" Tamtey was still blinking it disbelief, and Ri'nelas eyes winded slightly too. She could never have guessed this--you-- were what was putting Teylan in such a good mood in the past months. She shook it off with a smile "I am glad for you too, Teylan."

You had resolved to stay for a while with Teylan. You had flown quite a long way by your Ikran anyway, and it would take at least a day or two for them to recuperate. Teylan opted to show you around, always lingering near you as he showed you all his interesting tech. He surprised you when you were bent over looking at some sort of table with 'holo-images', his tail wrapped around your leg and he bent over with you, his face close to yours. It sent a small shiver through your body. He whispered to you, "Um- Can I- Can I kiss you?" He looked nervous but resolved, to show his affection for the person he had spent so long with over comms. He always wondered what it would truly be like to hug you, kiss you, to be with you. You flushed, surprised by his initiative, but nodded, "of course." the two of you shared a gentle kiss, your hand reaching up to cup his face. You heard him let out a small joyful giggle as you did so, and you felt your tail lash in excitement. "So cute." you smiled, as you pulled away. Upon looking up, you realized half the resistance was staring at the two of you. You felt yourself sweat, blinking up at the many eyes that quickly turned away. Teylan didn't seem to notice, so you took that as a sign to keep touring the base with him, and listening to his passionate ramblings. ⚬────────────────────✧─────────────────────⚬

You were laid against a few pillows with Teylan in your arms. You were explaining something cool you saw outside in the clouded forest, a place you had never visited prior. Teylan nodded along, he decided to take off his hat because it was uncomfortable against your bare skin. You hadn't even needed to ask- he just noticed it. Teylan couldn't be more comfortable, something that wasn't always easy for him within the resistance. Having his head pressed to your chest, hearing your heartbeat, it calmed his soul completely. He wrapped his arms around your waist as he cuddled into you more. You were almost falling asleep. Teylan was completely asleep by now, with you softly petting Teylan's hair he didn't stand a chance. Hearing his worries, his doubts about his life and identity over comms, It pleased you more than anything seeing him so calm. Your eyes were half lidded when you overheard Ri'nela speaking to Tamtey, they were quiet- but not enough. "I can't believe Teylan managed to get such a Na'vi to fall for him!" you heard Tamtey say quietly, their tone joking. You almost got upset, but you couldn't help but let out an amused huff. "I was skeptical at first, a new Na'vi we had never met before, and Teylan just announcing they were mates! But seeing the two of them so-- in love, I don't feel worried at all. They will take good care of him." Ri'nela said, you could hear the smile in her voice in the last part of her sentence. "And Teylan will take good care of them." Another voice, So'lek's. If possible I’d like to request another gn! Navi Reader x Teylan, similar to the last in the sense that Teylan is secretly mated, but what’s insane is that when Teylan introduces you to everyone, you have a BABY. Not like pregnant, no like a whole ass infant. Ofc Teylan is bombarded with questions, and the answer is simply-no one taught him about mating at TAP or the resistance. He had no idea what he was doing, and now he has a baby. But god he’s so fatherly in a soft way- a perfect anxious dad. And now everyone is reeling with the fact that TEYLAN has a KID.

I intended that the baby is bio from reader and Teylan, but it would be really nice if they/them is used for reader!

It had only been a year and a half, but a child, his child. You first told him as soon as you figured it out yourself. His eyes shot open wider than you'd ever seen, his whole body tense as a tree. He figured out why- or, how, pretty quickly. You had never even considered that he wouldn't know. At first, he was terrified. "I don't know what to do! I- What if I mess up? What if- What if I hurt the baby?" He'd pace back and forth rambling away his worries to you for hours for the first few days. You reassured him through it all, you always did. You sat on a hammock, watching him pace with a small smile. This wasn't the worst reaction- far from it. It was going to be okay because you love him, like nothing else. But now you'll have something- someone, else to love just as much-- more, together. You pondered how he'd be as a father- how you'd be as a parent. You weren't sure if you ever gave being a parent much thought- but now you felt nothing other than joy, joy that you were going to experience this with your mate. You knew the anxiousness was coming from a place of care- and that's what reassured you.

He kept pacing, and you had had enough. "Teylan." You grabbed his wrist, anchoring him in place. His tail swished, his ears pinned back to his head. "its going to be okay, Ma' Yawne."

Teylan inclined his head, letting out a sigh, before taking you into a hug. His arms wrapped around you carefully, almost like he was afraid to hurt you in this state. You squeezed him harder in response, garnering a small 'oof' sound. He whispered into your shoulder, his forehead resting on it. "I didn't know... I didn't know this would happen. But I'm going to do my best." his tail curled around your leg. You rubbed his back and held each other for a while. When she was born, Teylan helped create her songcord. He was so nervous, his hands shook, taking ahold of the thread. He got the hang of it quickly, he was good with his hands, but the nerves- those never truly went away. He sang her song with you, both of you staring at your baby with utter contentment in your hearts, snuggled together in a hammock with your new beautiful family. He took his hand in yours as you walked towards the new resistance camp. You held your daughter securely in your other arm, both of you sneaking glances at her as much as you could. Teylan wanted to introduce you, his new family, to his Sarentu family.

"WHAT?" was the first exclamation from Tamtey-- Teylan winced, looking to his young one, luckily still asleep. "You- You--- Is that your-- What?" Tamtey blinked, as the rest of the Sarentu family came over, alongside quite a few resistance humans-- curious of the ruckus happening. Almost in unison, everyone's eyes widened at the sight of you and your child. It was somewhat unsettling, to you mainly- but Teylan just looked- stunned, in a happy way. He reassured you by inching closer to you, a hand coming up to your side.

Rasi was the first to speak again- "The mark of the Sarentu, she must be yours then, Teylan." she was surprised, but not so animatedly like his younger clan members. She cooed at your child, and you couldn't help but smile. Ri'nela and Tamtey practically fell over each other with their words, looking at each other for guidance, but mainly their eyes couldn't stray from you, Teylan, and your child. "You have had a-- a Mate this whole time? How long have you been mated?!" "And you had a child together? Without telling us?! Teylan?!"

You couldn't help but chuckle, and Teylan awkwardly smiled. But he took your daughter in his arms, with much more confidence than he had a few days earlier-- and he stared down at her. "Yes... I.. Uh.. I didn't know that-- well- You know! I just didn't know. And I never thought to ask, so.. Here she is! And y/n, my mate... They're so amazing-- I'm sorry I never introduced you-- but so many things just kept coming up!" Teylan explained, in his typical Teylan way. They kind of just stared at him for a while longer, and you. But Ri'nela and Tamtey finally came over. The two of them held out their hands, whispering a gentle 'i see you', before looking down at your child. You couldn't help but stare too. She sported that Sarentu mark so well, for her little chubby cheeks. "She is.. She is so cute." Tamtey whispered, pressing a hand to their cheek. "I cant believe it. A new Sarentu, a baby." Ri'nela sighed out, expelling her worries. "Rasi, we will have to remember Sarentu traditions for this little one, and perhaps create new ones." Your child awoke naturally, her eyes fluttering open quite timidly. Tamtey smiled wider, wiggling their finger towards the baby. "...So'lek's on patrol... He's going to freak!" they giggled in realisation, and your daughter smiled. You did too.

The others gave you time alone, but you spent quite a bit of time with the family. They were simply content with being around you and your child, watching with smiles. Mainly Ri'nela stayed around, as the others were in and out.

Teylan held your daughter, holding her head the exact right way, with a huge loving grin on his face. He'd watch her tiny expressions for what felt like hours, he never got bored. She was infinitely more exciting than anything he'd experimented with tech- any firewall he'd have to crack through- he helped create her. It was an accident- but the happiest accident he had ever experienced.

Ri'nela and Rasi helped create clear out a space for the two of you to have privacy. You were sat in a pile of pillows, half asleep. Teylan had mentioned he'd be right back. You were admittedly, exhausted. Your daughter was the cutest thing you had ever seen, yes, but she was also an infant. One that needed to be fed every 2 hours or so- one that cried, a lot. Before you could fall asleep completely, Ri'nela came up to you and grabbed you by the hand, helping you up with a smile.

"Come, we have made you something." you were curious, but you didn't expect anything of what came next. Down through the cave systems intertwined with resistance tech, was a room tucked away. You entered and couldn't believe your eyes. Teylan was helping set up too, and Rasi stood by the door with a smile.

In the room was a large pile of pillows, a large hammock that could be shared and a much smaller one right next to it- for your child if needed. There was even a woven bag with quite a few important supplies, snacks for yourself to keep your energy up, cups and a large gourd filled with water. Colourful weavings covered the walls and there were paintings too. Teylan turned around with a smile, and your eyes pricked with tears. It wasn't just him- he was amazing, it's true. But to be welcomed by this new family, wholly. It made you feel so loved. Teylan took your daughter so Ri'nela and Rasi could embrace you in a hug.

Tamtey timed when So'lek returned, endlessly excited to see his reaction. Honestly, you weren't bothered or unbothered by the supposed prank, if all you, your mate and your child had to do was sit comfortably near the entrance like you already had been doing- you didn't mind. So'lek entered. He originally planned to just keep walking towards his little corner where he kept supplies, but upon seeing Tamtey's face holding back a huge grin, he squinted his eyes. He looked behind them, searching for something, and then turned your way.

Teylan and you were sat together, he held your daughter and you kept an arm against his as he did so. It was quite an obvious scene. So'lek's eyes widened. You hadn't known that much about him personally but you had heard enough stories to know he was pretty stoic most of the time. Teylan had a bond with him, they took care of each other. "Teylan-- Is that, Eywa... What?" his brow shot upwards, his mouth opening with a shocked half smile. Tamtey burst out in laughter, unable to contain it. So'lek barely even registered them, and the two of them came over. Teylan explained everything, and introduced you, in a similar fashion to how he had before. So'lek still had that shocked expression pretty much throughout the entire retelling, though his mouth was now closed. He broke the silence with a small amused huff, looking down at your child. "She has the Sarentu mark." there was a softness in his eyes, his mouth tugged into the smallest of smirks. "I must say- I never expected the first born of the new Sarentu generation to be from you-- But you will be a great father. I know you will." He placed his hand on Teylan's shoulder, patting him. You knew then, more than anything else, that this child would grow up so loved. And that you would be well loved in this new family too.
