So it was my good friend @theplagueprince birthday and for a special gift I made him a full body design of the Swinlock sparkling he requested I make months ago, Ruse!
Ruse is now his character to do with what he pleases and I hope he enjoys her cause I sure enjoyed designing her!
For context, My friend Plague here meant to send Swindle x Lockdown for the crack ship sparkling design requests. But he sent swerve by mistake so feel free to judge him.
But meet Ruse! A smart-mouthed manipulative femme who is as cunning as she is seductive.
RUSE IS A FREE TO USE SPARKLING DESIGN! (just make sure to credit ^^)
Hi, so, I really liked your Swinlock baby. So much that you inspired me to make a small story with her in it. I hope you don’t mind it and enjoy it.

this amazing story abour Ruse was written by @dragonwitch77 i’ll put it under a read more just to help prevent dash wall. Thank you so much for the lovely fic!
It started happening a couple months ago.
At first it was just simple things. Small items, money, personal possessions, the normal stuff that were mostly just small time thefts. It didn’t catch anyone’s attention.
Until it started evolving into bigger thefts. Banks, stores, personal weapons, energon vaults, important heirlooms. It kept getting bigger and bigger. What was worse was that no one ever saw who committed these crimes. The crime scenes were always clean, and every security footage was either destroyed beyond repair or stolen as well. The only connection to all these crimes was a single black card with bullet hole in the dead center left behind by the culprit.
Bots started thinking that some rogue mob gang bots were responsible for these crimes. Sentinel had tried to dismiss all the crimes, stating they were nothing more than simple petty robberies and nothing more, promising to get back every item in no time.
The next day, his whole bank account was stolen, and all that was left was the thief’s calling card.
Sentinel was furious (any penniless) for days. He ordered double guards on banks, shops, laboratories, and any other facility that housed important and irreplaceable items. Everyone had a sigh for relief… for a day at least.
To everyone’s great misery, the thief had upped their game. Not only were important items being stolen, but nearly everything inside a single building was stolen was well. Even the most well-guarded and highly secured vaults were broken into with ease and emptied of everything inside. And still, no one could catch this thief.
And that’s what made Helix worried.
No one has ever gotten even a glimpse of this thief, nor could the best detectives could find any trace or clue to track this bot. It had got so bad, even Elite Guard and Prime were called in to start guarding an important disk containing military codes. There was no doubt in everyone’s processor that the thief would target it next.
Helix wasn’t sure how capable this thief was, but whoever this bot was, they certainly got the attention of the Elite Guards.
“Helix to Jetstorm.” Helix activated his comm-link, gazing around his hideout spot he was stationed at. “Nothing on this end to report. Anything on your side Jet?”
{All is being quiet!} Jetstorm’s rang through. {Other’s report has been same. You thinking thief will be come tonight?}
“Don’t know.” Helix looked at the sky, frowning. By his guess, it was nearing midnight. Fleetly, Helix wondered if Vantage was sleeping alright without him and Jetstorm there. Sure he could trust his creators to watch his sparkling, but he still couldn’t help but feel a little unease not seeing his sparkling for so long. “Seems too quiet. You sure no one’s seen anything?”
{Nope! Everything’s Okey-Dokey!}
Helix smiled at his conjunx’s confidence. “Well keep your optics open. We—” Helix cut off when the side of the building he was watching exploded. “What the—?!” Helix cried out as he caught sight of two followed Primes falling through the smoke and landing roughly on the ground.
{Helix?! What is noise?!}
Helix turned his gaze to the smoke clearing away from the hole in the building, spotting a slim figure stepping up to it. His optics widened, not recognizing the bot standing there, but he had a pretty good guess of who it was. “The thief has been spotted! Repeat! I have visual on the thief!”
Helix jumped, transforming into his alt-mode and flying to engage. The figure looked up as Helix approached, and Helix noticed a distinct feature standing out in the darkness as he got closer.
Purple optics? He thought, quickly approaching the building. He didn’t have much time to think on it as the thief suddenly vanished. Something hard landed on top of him, and Helix was suddenly spinning out of control. Helix, in a panic, transformed back into his robot mode, crashing helm first into a building and falling to the ground.
“Ow.” Helix rubbed his helm, slowly sitting up.
“Not much of a smooth flier are ya?” Helix onlined his optics, gazing up. A tall black and gold femm stood over him. For a moment, Helix though she reminded him of someone one of his creators once told him about. But with the pain in his helm, it was hard to remember who they were talking about or why this femm with the purple cat-like optics and strange face markings reminded him of that.
“Helix!”
Both bots looked up, spying a blue jet flying towards them. The femm huffed, taking off in run into a nearby alleyway. Helix quickly got to his peds as Jetstorm flew after the bot, following them down into a long alleyway.
Jetstorm shot ahead of the femm, transforming back into his robot form and blocking the only exit. “Halt! You is run no more!”
The femm stopped, looking over her shoulder as Helix blocked the other end. “It’s over! We know you have the codes, so hand them over and come quietly.” He charged up his gun as Jetstorm took a battle stance. “Or we will be foced to use force.”
The femm bot smirked, and Helix knew she was about to pull a slag move. “You want ‘em?” In a blink of one’s optic, she held up her servo, clutching a small black orb. “Ya got to catch me first.”
Helix and Jetstorm shot forward, but neither were fast enough to stop the thief from dropping the orb. There was bright flash and a loud BANG and thick smoke soon clouded the whole alleyway.
Helix reset his optics, coughing the lasting smoke from his intake. When his vision became clear again, he could see most of the alleyway and his conjunx within the fading smoke.
But the thief was gone.
Along with the codes.
Helix looked at Jetstorm, the horror and realization dawning on them like a cold chill going up their spinal strut. “… oh, we are so—”

“BOOORRRINNNNG!”
<Boring? What do you mean boring? You just escaped a carefully placed, highly guarded, full security, multi locked building with a serious number of Elite Guards on your tailpipe, and you’re still telling me that it was boring?!>
“Uh, yes.” The femm bot huffed, placing her peds on the console. “It was as nearly as fun as I had hoped for, and it wasn’t that well-guarded as you made it out to be.”
<Ruse, get your peds off the console. We’re trying to have a serious talk here.>
Ruse rolled her optics, but complied. “I’m just sayin’ that it wasn’t as fun as I expected it to be! I mean, do you know how many bots I had to fight?”
<Well—>
“Not Enough Of ‘Em!” Ruse slammed her servos on the table. “I only took down a few servo full of ‘em and it still wasn’t enough!”
<And you weren’t supposed to engage them in a fight in the first place! You may be capable in a fight Ruse, but you’re not invincible. Just think of the consequence if you did get caught!>
Ruse hummed, leaning back in the chair with her arms crossed and tapped her chin. “… Prison fights are still a thin’ right?”
<RUSE!>
Ruse burst out laughing, slapping her knee. “Oh calm down carrier! I’m only messing with ya!”
<Well I’m not laughing! Primus you’re as bad as your sire sometimes!>
Ruse smiled, locking her digits together and placing her chin on them. “Yeah, I might be bad as him, but I’m still more reliable than him too~”
<… haaa. At least tell me you got the codes? Did you at least get them?>
“Are you doubting my skills carrier?” Ruse smirked, holding up the disk between two digits up close to her face. “This little baby was easy to take. Forget the building, they should have put better security around these codes.”
<Ha ha ha! That’s my girl!>
Ruse smirked, storing the codes away. “Yeah, yeah. I’m great and all. But let’s not forget our little deal here.”
<Like I would ever forget. The usual spot for our trading session?>
“You know it!” Ruse cackled. “These codes better be worth the trouble I went through for that mod. And I better get that mod!”
