About the cosplay: It's Hawk!!! 🥰 And hey!! I did a much better job than Halloween last year I think 😹✨💙 This was what I meant talking about the variation thing in my last art post btw~ I had two people recognize my character!! The joy I got from that was undescribable 😩🙏💖

About the con itself: OH MY PRIMUS I'D BE HERE ALL DAY TALKING ABOUT EVERY COOL THING I SAW 😭💜 Let's just say that I was incredibly lucky to find the stuff I got, and I'm grateful to have gotten it (yes btw that is a screenshot from a tiktok I made about this, I'd put it here but Tumblr is really weird about posting videos so....check my TikTok ig? 😳) // It was truly awesome to see all these figures and things from shows I barely see anyone talk about yet which I care deeply for, NOT TO MENTION THAT EPIC TABLE OF ENTIRELY VINTAGE JAPANESE G1 STUFF WAAA 😭🙏💕💕 So yea, I got a lot of cool stuff, I met some ppl (including a nice conversation with the actual Aaron Archer!! He signed some stuff for me and even left doodles with the signatures!!! Like a smol Unicron or an Optimus!!! That was very cool 😌✨) I saw a lot of cool cosplayers who I didn't have the courage to talk to, but I'm glad I could admire all the creativity and passion from afar :] And the panels!!! Were all very interesting!!!! The Peter Cullen one was awesome, and the script-reading one at the end of the day was also very fun!!! I read for Minerva's part in the audition period, and though I didn't get it, I enjoyed that little moment! Plus, the person they ultimately chose did an amazing job with the script!! ✨ It was purely just cool to even see Minerva on that screen for a while--tbh, we stan the Masterforce rep I saw all throughout the day 😩💖🔥 or, well, I stan that...😳✨

About Meeting Peter Cullen: In short? Surreal ✨🙏 So, I'd signed up for an autograph when getting the tickets for the con! And that Optimus you see up there is the thing I meticulously drew as the print. I wanted it to be something special, so I literally poured my heart into that...tbh, it did turn out quite nice!!! ^\\^

From here I'll repeat exactly what I said in my Instagram post: Though brief, I'll never forget those couple moments. I was able to tell him that theres a lot I struggle with, but that Optimus has always been a real friend to me, and I thanked him for the role he's played in my life...after he signed my print, I asked to give him one, and then mentioned actually, I'd drawn these, and he was so impressed. He read the captions on the banners aloud and said "That's Optimus alright!" (I was grinning like an idiot sjsjsj) & before I gave the copy, he asked *me* to sign it for him 😭 the highest honor for me as an artist ngl 🙏 Reading my name, he said he was glad to have met yet another unique individual like myself...before leaving, we shook hands and he told me I should keep going, that I'm doing great. I couldn't stop smiling as I left.

So basically, Saturday was a dream--in fact, many dreams came true Saturday. Thanks, TFcon Chicago, it was a wild and fun ride I'll never forget~

Guess who did the 2022 TFCon Toronto Script Reading Prequel Comic @tfcon? ✨ya boi✨

It was certainly an interesting challenge! Basically only ever drawn two of these characters before this project, and there was certainly a great deal of learning I had to do on the spot! Believe me, a lot of the panel stuff got hectic.

But it’s a thing I accomplished, so yay! Enjoy my posting it over here like ten months later than I did on Twitter!

things i remember from the first draft panel of the g1 movie!!!

the movie was originally going to open during a battle at a steel mill

magnus's entrance was going to be very different, a lot more badass. his name was originally just magnus, no ultra, and his design was like orion pax's mold

kup's original name was tanker

there was going to be a human character named rusty steel who was daniel's father figure. spike was not his father and his mom had an active role in the movie

there was a train named rails that could transform into an awesome snake and fought devastator

ratchet was ready to call it quits on optimus early on, but i think it was magnus who said they could still save him

the decepticons flew back to cybertron and fought for leadership there. megatron died and his ghost rose up from his body. boom galvatron

the other decepticons get unicron powers too

unicron destroys cybertron (like, disintegrates it). the decepticons are pissed about that

optimus still died, his ghost rose up from his body too

when the autobots had to leave earth, daniel and his mom got whisked away onto the shuttle during all the panic. bumblebee died from getting blown up

hot rod and the autobots he got split up with led a slave revolution on quintessa

the junkions reveal they built unicron as a protector

during the battle there was some weird thing that happened and galvatron tried contacting starscream, who was in a bit of a situation because his response was something alone the lines of "it's not me! i've been fused with lesser lifeforms!"

blurr, magnus, and a character who didn't make it into the movie die (i think galvatron killed them?)

daniel's mom takes down galvatron or something by tackling him i think

daniel defeats galvatron and is actually the hero (nobody in the room liked that)

hot rod doesnt get the matrix, but still stepped into a leadership role in magnus's absence

list of characters hasbro told rod friedman he could kill off: gears, buffer, windcharger, sunstreaker, sideswipe, hound, trailbreaker, ironhide, ratchet, prowl, mirage, wheeljack, bluestreak, thundercracker, skywarp, and shockwave. there was one more but the photo i took is too blurry for me to read the name

pretty much the only note hasbro gave ron friedman was to make the decepticons less interesting

he casually dropped the fact he has five pages of a unicron movie written and if people show enough interest in it, he'll finish it

Okay, now that I’ve had a full two days to muse over it, I just wanted to ask other people that were there… was the TFCon costume contest super mean spirited and shit to y’all too or am I just sensitive?

I just think cosplaying is a brave thing to do and when the announcer is shitting on actual children and deliberately forgetting to even bring people up and then saying “Nobody cares about them” it’s no longer fun and it’s just embarrassing and infuriating. I was mad after every single nasty “joke” she made to the people, I couldn’t even enjoy the beautiful outfits until after. One of the people that placed got called stupid and he literally bolted after the contest and I couldn’t even find him to take pics with him.
