for those of you not on twitter, you probably haven’t seen @robochai‘s new blog The Fans We Were. it’s a fun and cheeky and heartfelt look into a lot of your favorite artist’s old weird tween art -- and this week i had the pleasure of joining the ranks of interviewees!
i HIGHLY recommend checking it out, particularly the interview with carey pietsch!
A year ago today I published The Faces We Wear.
To date, it is still my most popular fic I've ever written, by a lot, and it kick started the most consistent creative binge I've ever been on. Not a single month in the last year has gone by without thousands of words worth of writing, which I've never been able to do before.
That fic also inspired @professorflowers to turn the story into a comic, which I'm still giddy about. Like, an artist liked what I'd written so much that they wanted to draw it. 😭😭😭😭😭 You're such a talented and wonderful artist Flowers, and I'm so friggen happy for all of your success!!!!
I usually fixate on fandoms for a while, and then inexplicably, my brain decides it's done, and no matter how badly I want to keep revisiting characters and stories, I just can't. Good Omens changed all that. This is the first time I've ever felt both the drive and inspiration to just keep going. So thank you from the bottom of my heart, every single reader I've ever had. I want to be a published writer one day, and you all have given me the confidence to keep exercising that writing muscle, and keep perfecting. Keep improving.
All this from a smut fic. Wow. Love you. 💕💕💕
A little snippet bc i wanna share this, it's so so hard to write but in a good way lol. i should hav the fic fully posted by the end of the week!

This, Wanderer thinks, hand clenched tight enough for nails to dig into his skin, is a child. And children lie.
Or: Wanderer tends to Mini-Durin, and watches the shoots take root.
Read chapter 1 here! A snippet of the story is included below. Enjoy!
