I’m so late on catching up but I’m not sure if this has been mentioned before - is that an 8 under Haise’s chopped-off arm? Meaning of 8 (source) “Number eight is about cycles, revolutions, and progress gained on the invisible level.”

Is the finger-crack thing like a thing of the past now?

The last time we saw the finger-crack was in TG:re 30, when Haise was facing Seidou. He might have done it during the Yamori Clan’t attempted ambush of the Quinx Squad, but we were only shown the end of Haise’s fight with Shousei and Hooguro. So we can’t say for sure.

Haise only does the finger-crack when he’s confronting his memories/using more of this kagune. Right now would be a perfect time for him to do the finger-crack, but....

Yeah. His right hand (the hand he uses for the finger-crack) was ripped off by Kanae before things got really downhill, and as of TG:re 54 it still hasn’t regenerated.

(Did Ishida-sensei purposefully do this so that we couldn’t tell?) If Haise had his right arm he may do it, so it’s too early to say we’ll never see the finger-crack again. :)

CAN EVERYONE SHUT UP AND WORRY ABOUT THAT HAIR COLOUR, PLEASE! Honestly, it's not the time for puns, when it's pretty obvious that Kaneki made an appearance in chapter 50. I've seen some posts on how even in the latest chapter, Tsukiyama protects Kanae, because he knows what will happen is Haise losses control. At this point, I smell foreshadowing that he will.

I was thinking about last chapter, it is possible that Furuta just cut Matsumae's arm( the one wielding the kagune) off and use that kagune to kill the other investigator. He needs to dispose of the other guy one way or another right but him dying not because of ghoul kagune would seen suspicious, so Matsumae's kagune is a better option. If he wants to kill her, he would have used his quinque and stabbed it into her head, but he used the chainsaw instead. What Furuta will do with her after?

I was thinking that too, that Furuta would somehow use Matsumae’s kagune to kill the remaining investigator so all blame could go to her. I think he used the chainsaw to create the impression that Kijima’s dying act was to take Matsumae down with him. Furuta’s been overlooked so far, but he’s clearly hiding his true capabilities from the CCG.

As for Matsumae... at this point (if she’s really truly dead) I’m hoping her body won’t be picked by the CCG. If there’s one thing I really do not want to happen, it’s for her to become a quinque ;;

He wanted to fool other investigators into thinking that Ui would come and rescue them. I don't know, I was just suspicious that we haven't seen him in a while so I was worried.

Hhmmm. I thought I remembered seeing an actual Ui speech bubble, but I went and checked and there really wasn’t a clear response from Ui. Now that you say it, I’m starting to get more and more suspicious that Furuta really called Ui or not. Good catch! It makes me a little nervous though, if he really was faking. Where are you Ui?

I was actually thinking that it was all an act when he asked for reinforcement (called Ui) Dunno, did Ui responded? I must have missed something.

I interpreted it as Furuta making sure how long he had until Ui arrived, so that he wouldn’t be caught doing something he didn’t want seen. (And yup, Ui responded but we don’t know the exact minutes.) So both an act and a precaution?
