The Batman: transformation of Colin Farrell for The Penguin
We love it💕
Definitivamente lo amamos! Y su interpretación fue magnifica
Please DC let Batman finally have Robin in the Batman sequel - here are my arguments why:
I don't know how much is this vide spread opinion but I've seen suggestion that this Batman is perfect for a series without a Robin because it's so dark and Bruce is so reckless and so on.
I believe the opposite to be truth.
This version of Batman needs Robin the most.
He's still learning how to fight for justice. He only just realised its not only about fear but about hope too. He still doesn't properly know his limits and is very self destructive in pursue of his goals.
He's doing miserable job taking care for himself. And he has no reason to try any better because even though he cares for Alfred and Selina they are He really needs to be responsible for someone else's life to learn to slow down. To learn that to save and protect others he has to first take care of himself. Accept help of others. Being reminded that there's hope for Gotham through seeing the next generation grow.
It would go well with the theme of the first movie too. He stops fighting because of the past because of the death of his parents. He starts fight for the future for this orphan he decided take in and his future.
Again and again it's said that in the end of the day Robin do not need Batman but Batman will always need his Robin.*
Also one of the comics which the movie taken inspiration from is Long Halloween is followed by sequel Dark Victory - one of the bsckstories for Robin. And Batman even met Robin after Catwoman shortly left Gotham so it would really sit even with the ending of this movie... **
Of course last but not least there is always also the argument what kind of person would allow twelve year old kid to fight with him and as I already said... This Batman is reckless enough and enough desperate to fight crime with everything he has that he might approve.
*I'm too lazy to find the exact issue with exact line but I think it's part of Snyder's run.
**BatCat dynamics were a bulit different in that comics and there were lots of other layers of plot happening but you could compare it a bit if you squint. Also I highly recommend all three of these classics - Batman Long Halloween, Batman Dark Victory and Catwoman: When in Rome.
