OC ask meme: 6. Do they consider laws flexible, or immovable? 29. Do they usually live up to their own ideals?
Ahahahahahaha ohhhhhh Thaddeus loves doing crime. It's not so much that he thinks laws are for other people as that he regards most laws as existing to inconvenience him, personally. I originally built him as True Neutral with a strongly implied background of graverobbing. He is deeply personally offended by the idea of cemeteries being locked. When we first learned about Kerghan the Terrible, who was banished to the Void for mixing magick and technology and disrespecting the boundaries of Life and Death his response is "and what's so bad about that?" (Then we met Kerghan and now his tune is more "that guy gives disrespecting the boundaries between Life and Death a bad name.") Thaddeus disrespects all kinds of things! As a card-carrying Mad Scientist, he's pretty flexible about the Laws of Physics too. (You'd think he'd be into magick over technology with that attitude but he's met wizards and he is disgusted by their lack of curiosity about the world). Actually this gets passed down to his daughter Flora in the form of "only Magick lets us truly transcend our natures." He's pretty down in the idea of "nature" as well but has a more technological outlook about it.
He has precisely zero thief skills but he looooooooves breaking and entering. He's not remotely good at it. He has no people skills either though so it does tend to get him farther than asking nicely.
So it's not so much that he thinks laws are flexible as he thinks they're rude. Very rude for that law to exist, how dare. He puts a lot of stock in things being rude or not. Perhaps too much for someone to whom social niceties are a pretty foreign concept.
Here's a quote:
Jayna: if everybody hates men with guns, why do you carry one? Or...six...
Thaddeus: to avoid getting murdered by guys with swords. Duh.
Does he usually live up to his own ideals?
*Thor face* weellllll
Okay so this is a complicated question. He is, despite all of the above, an ultimately pretty idealistic guy. He thinks people should be nicer to each other, and by and large leave each other alone, and mostly stop hitting him. He's a significantly better person than he thinks he is. Like if you asked him, he'd probably say no. He's uncomfortably aware that despite his efforts to self-identify as a healer, he does murder a lot of people. But also he's firmly of the opinion that Some Folks Just Need Killing. And after the Void he becomes an Absolute Pacifist (with one notable exception. He does a decent job avoiding hypocrisy - he's always like "absolutely donate my body to science - I've always considered burial to be a real waste." So I think honestly he does, though if you asked him he would say no. He tends to say his greatest flaw is vanity, which would not be anybody else's first guess. (Most other people I think would go with "talks too much.")
Thank you for these!
Giants rookie DE Kayvon Thibodeaux suffered a MCL sprain in last night's game against the Bengals and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks. Bengals TE Thaddeus Moss' low hit on Thibodeaux has once again sparked debate on whether a cut block, also called a chop block, is an intentional dirty play.
What is a cut block (chop block)? It's an attempt by an offensive player to block a defensive player at the lower leg level often as the defensive player is already being blocked above the waist by another offensive player. A chop block results in a 15-yard penalty.

Take a wholesome look back at the National Championship through my eyes
Back in Death Valley💜💛
The dumbest thing I've seen this week is how the media keeps trying to twist things so it looks like there is bad blood or a feud between Justin and Ja'Maar 🤣
Fun to see Randy Moss with them🥰
Thank you @chrisnoelie for the link😘
It was always so cool seeing him celebrate in the stands when his son, Thad, won the National Championship with them!!!💜💛
CFB starts tomorrow!!!!!
LSU vs Clemson history - Tiger vs Tiger Ja'Marr Chase vs Tee Higgins
They kept saying Trevor Lawrence would be the best player on the field and Dabo Swinney would out coach Coach O🤣.
