summary: Embry’s cute face is enough for (Y/N) to forgive him for accidentally waking her up
warnings: none
note: @fatiguing-thoughts brought to my attention that I’ve been neglecting Embry for a while now so this is for her :))
The blaring sound of your boyfriend’s alarm snapped you out of your morning slumber, rudely interrupting your peaceful dream your rich imagination had made up for you. Most days you were the one turning off the alarm while Embry slept through each and every of one like he didn’t have anywhere to be. Honestly it was the only downside of living together with him, but after the first few months you were used to it and you didn’t mind waking him up in exchange for some freshly baked eggs.
Your heavy lids somehow found the strength to flutter open, but the rest of your body lied still not finding the energy to move a single muscle. Lazily staring at Embry’s broad back it was merely moments before you could feel some movement on his side of the bed. You could hear his finger tapping onto his phone screen a few times, an amused smile forming on your lips as he couldn’t blindly find the slumber button. Eventually the ear deafening sound was silenced and an exhausted, but relieved sigh fell from his lips.
Embry gently lifted the covers off his body and you could tell by his cautious moves he was under the impression you were still asleep. You smiled, moved by his actions, but before he actually had the chance to swing his legs off the bed to sit up, you reached your hand out to his shoulder and pulled him back.
You moved your body against his back, forcing your arm between his arm and his waist, nuzzling your nose against his feverish skin, not wanting his side of the bed to get cold. He was the only reason you were warm at night and you weren’t ready to let it go of your personal heater just yet. “Leaving me so soon?”
He chuckled, softly lifting your arm off his body so he could turn around to face your gorgeous face. “Good morning to you, too.” He whispered with a faint smile and droopy eyes.
You could tell by his slow movements he wasn’t totally recovered from patrolling last night, but the sight of his morning face was probably the most entertaining, yet cutest thing you’d ever seen. “I’m sorry I woke you up.”
His hand rested on the side of your face, his warm thumb softly caressing your cheek. You softly nudged your head against your pillow. “Good thing you’re cute, I probably would’ve been mad if you weren’t.”
“I’m glad, because you have to wake up next to this face for a long time.”
“Assuming I won’t break up with you for waking me up with your loud ass alarm every day, sure.” You teased.
“Very dangerous thing to say when you’re so ticklish.” A devilish grin creeped onto his face, making you slowly shake your head knowing exactly what he wanted to do.
“I’m kidding, I’m kidding.” You quickly exclaimed, taking ahold of his hands to keep him from restraining you and poking your waist until you couldn’t breathe.
“That’s what I thought.” Embry laughed, removing his hands from your grip before grabbing onto you and pulling you into his chest. As he wrapped his arm around your frame you could feel yourself being consumed by his warmth, almost immediately dozing off again.
You completely melted into him, humming against his chest while he dipped his hand under your shirt and rubbed figures into the curve of your back. It was almost like your eyes closed on their own. Although you were heavily distracted by your exhaustion, it wasn’t long before you realized why Embry’s alarm went off in the first place.
“Shouldn’t you get up? Sam won’t be happy if you’re late again.” You said, lifting your head off his chest to look up at him.
“Hey, don’t ruin the moment.” He shushed while pulling your head back against his skin.
You shrugged your shoulders and closed your eyes giving into him without a struggle. You weren’t the one getting yelled at later anyway. “Oh well.”

warnings: some suggestive themes
note: I don’t really like this so might delete this later 😭
JACOB BLACK
Being the most creative couple there is, Jacob and you decided to organize a small Valentine’s day themed party. You guys crafted so many red and pink heart shaped things you were getting tired of the colors. When the day finally came and everyone was having the time of their lives, you were very confused when someone lowered the music and everyone backed away from you. Confused, you looked at Emily, who signaled you to turn around.
Before you even turned around, the tears were welling up in your eyes, not believing your boyfriend tricked you into organizing your proposal party with him. When you finally faced him your hands were covering your uncontrollable smile, the tears finally falling as saw Jacob down on one knee, holding a self made ring in his hand. He wasn’t even able to get the question out as you’d thrown yourself at him, your arms wrapped around his neck.
“Yes, yes, yes!”
PAUL LAHOTE
Paul definitely wasn’t the most romantic guy when it came to gifts, but knowing how much valentine’s day meant to you he still wanted to plan something special. Movies were something you were both into so he decided to do something slightly different and took you to a drive-in. On the way there you stopped at a grocery store to pick all of your favorite snacks and drinks.
Normally the two of you had no problems paying attention to movies while you were together, but on that particular night you couldn’t get enough of each other. Feeding each other the snacks, talking about your plans for the future and kisses and touches here and there, sometimes getting a little carried away. At the end of the movie you couldn’t even explain the plot to each other, but it still felt like an accomplished night. You got to spend the whole day with your boyfriend, enjoying his undivided attention (something you didn’t get a lot of). On your way home you decided to get some food and make the car date last a little longer, just because you couldn’t have enough of the day.
QUIL ATEARA
‘A day has 24 hours so for every hour there is a clue for you’
You could basically imagine the grin on his face as you read Quil’s text with a location attached to it, where you would find your first clue. The whole afternoon you were running all over the reservation to unravel where to find the next one, the riddles only getting more difficult as you were getting closer and closer to the unknown prize.
Three hours later you ended up at Quil’s place, excited to see what you had won with the 24 clues in your hand. Meeting Quil inside he let you know that the back of the clues were like a puzzle and you only had to put them in the right order. You were glad it was definitely much easier than the scavenger hunt you went on, only having to put the clues in order of what moment in your relationship the riddles revered to. When you finally put every piece in it’s place you turned all the clues over and it spelled out: ‘WILL YOU MOVE IN WITH ME?’
With the biggest smile on your face you looked up at your boyfriend, who was impatiently waiting for your answer. “So?”
“Of course it’s a yes!”
EMBRY CALL
Being in a relationship with your high school sweetheart is fun, until you’ve literally given each other everything over the years you’ve been together. No gift was original anymore and although you knew each other through and through there was nothing you hadn’t done yet. So for Valentine’s day Embry was coming up with ideas months in advance so you wouldn’t be disappointed.
When he couldn’t find anything and stopped looking, his idea came to him. He was looking through his old stuff from high school and he found all the little notes you made him when you were in class together. He wasn’t even sure you knew he kept all of them, wanting to look back and remember the moments your love for each other first started. Back then all of his gifts were more materialistic so he wanted to make something sentimental.
Inspired by your old high school love notes he decided to respond to all of them and put his colorful notes in a decorated jar. He woke you up, a tray with breakfast, two cups of tea and your gift waiting for you. With a grin on his face he chuckled, nibbling on his self made scrambled eggs as you read each of the notes out loud to him. You could feel your heart melt more and more, the deeper you got into the jar.
SETH CLEARWATER
Something you loved doing together but never had the time for, was baking. There was never enough time for the two of you to commit to it and when there was Seth suddenly had to be somewhere else, leaving you to decorate the baked goods on your own.
For Valentine’s Day Seth made sure he had absolutely no plans. He got the day off from Sam and took a day off from work two months in advance, just to get to make some cute cupcakes with you. Knowing you had the whole day to do whatever you had to do, you decided to take the challenge and make the cupcakes from scratch. In theory it wasn’t the hardest thing to do with the experience you guys had, but all the flour made your inner children come to the surface.
Baking cupcakes ended up in throwing flour at each other and eventually there were no cupcakes, all the ingredients ending up on either your bodies, the kitchen counters or the floor. You didn’t get any sweet out of it, but getting to spend a whole day with your boyfriend was more than enough to enjoy your day. And you got to shower together in the end, something you would never say no to.
LEAH CLEARWATER
Leah wasn’t someone who enjoyed days like Valentine’s day or birthdays, but not having done anything for your birthday because that day got rudely interrupted by new vampires roaming the area, she definitely wanted to make sure you got something that time.
She wasn’t big on gifts, but she was looking online for weeks just to find you something perfect. She didn’t want to make a big deal out of the present, nonchalantly handing it to you when you guys were eating dinner. “It’s nothing.” She mumbled, shyly looking away when she saw your eyes lit up. Opening it, you found two matching silver bracelets, engraved with both of your initials and the date you started dating.
Before Leah could give you another warning to not make a big deal out of it, you were already on her side of the kitchen table, gratefully covering her face in kisses.
SAM ULEY
Sam and you were the couple who only got to spent time together on weekends. You only having night shifts and Sam only having day shifts made sure you only saw each other briefly when one arrived at home while the other had to leave, leaving both of you with a lonely empty spot next to you when you slept. Despite barely seeing each other, the love you shared was pure and the time spent apart only made you look forward to the time you could spend together with your husband.
You didn’t plan anything big for each other, just wanting to enjoy each other’s presence in peace. On that Sunday evening Sam was lying in your lap as you were talking about the crazy things that happened throughout the week. One hand was occupied by your half full whine glass while you were using your other to massage his scalp. His adorating gaze was on you as he sometimes completely forgot to respond to the things you were saying, his head full of how much he wished you could do this more often than just the two days you had together. You had a lot of laughs, the endless conversations almost making the both of you forget you had to work the next day.
JARED CAMERON
When Jared asked you what you wanted for Valentine’s day you didn’t seem too pumped, not really caring about the day at all. You had to study for an upcoming test, barely leaving any time for you to really invest in that day. Being the amazing boyfriend he was, Jared obviously didn’t mind, but still didn’t want to leave you empty handed.
He got you your favorite snacks to nibble on while you were studying. He made sure you gave yourself enough breaks and time to eat and drink so you could focus on what you were doing better. Although he would’ve rather taken you on an amazing date for both of you to enjoy, being there for you in stressful times was more important to him than anything else. And obviously he was still taking you on that date after finals were over to make sure you knew how proud he was of you.
note: Thank you @tyb1 for giving me an amazing idea to experiment with. This was also loosely inspired by this imagine by @imaginingmanyfandoms (with their permission!) Please check both of them out!
You swatted away the lingering fly, which had been testing your patience the whole day, from the freshly set table. You didn’t want anything ruining your mood that day and if you had the same accuracy your boyfriend had when it came to killing flies, it would’ve been smashed against one of your counters the second you had seen it flying around. Losing the buzzing creature from your sight, you stepped away from your kitchen table to take in the view. Perfect, you thought with a satisfied smile, quietly praising yourself.
After months of barely seeing your boyfriend and living with each other like you were roommates, you found it was time to find that spark you once felt by having his favorite meal and desert. You wanted to create a comfortable scenery to discuss your concerns with Jacob and was more than positive about the outcome. He was always willing to listen and work on himself together with you when it came to problems you were having.
With a lighthearted sigh you grabbed your phone from the edge of the table. Your notification centre showed a few unimportant emails waiting to be deleted from your inbox, instead of the text you were waiting for. You looked at the time above the notifications. 7:23 pm. He wasn’t supposed to be home for a while and him not responding to your texts probably meant patrolling just took longer. You pushed down that icky feeling at the pit of your stomach and decided to dress up with the time you still had. You didn’t want to wear anything over the top in your own kitchen, but something cute enough for Jacob to see you were trying to look nice for him.
Taking your time to take a shower, do your hair and put together an outfit you were pleased with, you were expecting Jacob to walk into your home at any given moment then, but even when you returned to the kitchen there was still no sign of him. This time you looked up at the analog clock hanging from one of your kitchen walls. 8:41 pm.
With a forced smile you tried to contain the excitement you had been feeling the whole day as you got a pack of lucifers to light the candle in the middle of the table. Once the candle held onto the flame, you looked over your shoulder at the food on the stove while you waved with the lucifer in your hand, before it had the chance to burn all the way down to your fingers. You wanted Jacob to come home to a prepared plate but the moment you heard the fly buzzing around your living room you stopped yourself. You weren’t in the mood to keep that thing away from the food so you were just going to wait until he got home.
You sat down at the kitchen table, grabbing your phone once again. Maybe he responded. Lightly tapping your screen, your notification centre popped up, but there still was no text. Out of curiosity you checked your messages, going into your conversation with Jacob.
‘You still going to be home by 8:30?’
You sighed looking at the delivered stamp underneath your text, but decided to give him more time. He was barely ten minutes late and it wasn’t unusual with the recent supernatural activity in the area so you just had to keep your excitement at bay a little longer.
Time ticked by slowly, ten minutes turning into thirty, half an hour turning into an hour as you impatiently bounced on your legs, soft thumbs filling the silent kitchen. You were leaning against the kitchen counter, looking down at the game on your phone to kill time, but with each passing second your worries were starting to grow excessively.
When the clock hit 10:30 pm you decided to call him, the phone icon next to his caller id waiting to be pressed by your hovering thumb. But before you could put your phone up to your ear, your call went straight to his voicemail. Your heart jumped, your sudden rising heartbeat ringing in your ears from worry.
His phone has never been turned off before. Why is his phone turned off?
You exhaled audibly, automatically going to your contacts to find Quil’s number while you nibbled on your thumbnail. If your memory didn’t do you wrong, you were almost certain they were patrolling together. He would know where Jacob was. Again, you tapped on the phone icon as your hand rested against your neck, feeling your rapid heartbeat.
You looked up at the ceiling, briefly closing your eyes as you forced yourself to stay calm. In and out, you told yourself, inhaling and exhaling deeply to keep yourself from having gruesome intrusive thoughts of things that could’ve gone wrong while you impatiently waited for your boyfriend’s best friend to pick up his phone.
“Hey, (Y/N). What’s up?” Quil’s neutral voice sent you into relaxation, your eyes shooting open and bending your head back down to its original state. His calm tone was enough to let you know nothing happened on their patrol.
“Hey, Quil.” Your voice was slightly shaken up from the brief panic, but hoping he wouldn’t notice you tried to make it less obvious. “I’m looking for Jake, is he with you?”
“Not anymore.” He answered. “Lin called him earlier. I’m guessing something happened, because Jake left right after, but he didn’t say what though.”
Lin. Of course he was with Lin.
The itch you were trying to keep down suddenly became uncontrollable. The anger, resentment and hurt you thought you had pushed down months ago bubbled up without a warning, making you bite your tongue to keep your composure towards Quil. As far as you knew he didn’t know about the arguments and fights she had caused in your relationship, how many times you threatened to leave Jacob because of her presence and how many nights you had banned Jacob from your bedroom so you could silently cry into your pillow, knowing he was listening to the pathetic muffled sobs from the couch in the living room.
“(Y/N)?” A different voice called out from the living room as you heard the click of the closing front door. “I’m home.”
“Thanks, Quil.” You said, snapping out of your silent rage, remembering your boyfriend’s best friend was at the other side of the line. “He actually just came home.”
“Anytime.” Quil responded unknowing of what he had just caused, before you exchanged goodbyes with him and hung up the phone. You slowly placed it back down on the table and shook your head in disbelief, pushing yourself away from the kitchen counter to meet Jacob in the living room.
“Hey, what did you make?” Your clueless boyfriend commented, briefly turning his head over his shoulder to watch you stand in the kitchen’s doorway, his back turned to you as he put his jacket away. “It smells good.”
“Where were you, Jacob?” Your voice was icingly calm as you ignored his question, his name feeling foreign in your mouth. It was always Jake, not Jacob so using his full name for the first time in months made sure he knew how badly he had fucked up. You knew where he had been and that simple question was enough to let him know there was no use in lying.
It was like he freezed up for a split second before he turned to face you, looking like a deer caught in headlights. You didn’t know why you were even giving him the room to answer, there was no way he could talk himself out of this. His mouth was agape, his lips moving slightly but there were no words coming out.
“Spit it out. Where were you?” You repeated, your voice slightly raising this time.
“Babe, I can explain--”
“Explain?” You interrupted him as a humourless chuckle fell from your lips. You softly pinched the skin between your eyebrows, your eyes fluttering closed. Your patience was thin, your head full of different voices telling you what to do in your rage, but you weren’t sure what voice to give in to. “Explain what? That you basically ditched me to be with Lin when I explicitly told you I wanted to have one night, just one night, to have your undivided attention.”
“I know I messed up, but you know I wouldn’t do it without a well enough reason.” Jake sounded distraught and without looking up you could tell he was panicking. “Just hear me out, okay?”
You pulled your hand away from your face, opening your eyes to look at the man who was suddenly standing much closer than he was before in an attempt to close the space between you. If he came any closer you were sure you would’ve backed away, but he knew better than to try to touch you when you were livid. It was a mistake he made before, but surely wouldn’t do again.
“She needed someone to talk to.” He started off, making you scoff. It was something you heard a dozen times before. “This is the first time she has been without her daughter for this long and it’s just hard on her.”
“It still surprises me you don’t see what she’s doing. She has enough friends to call. She’s using you, Jacob. Using you.” You narrowed your eyes in disbelief and used your hands to emphasize your point. “She only has to breathe differently and you’re there, she just likes the attention you’re giving her, because no one else will.”
“I don’t think she’s using me.” Jacob disagreed with a sigh. “But I also know you wouldn’t get me giving into it. As much I know you hate it, I have to be there for her, (Y/N). We’ve talked about the imprinting, it’s not a choice.”
Was he seriously defending what she was doing?
“And we’ve also talked about boundaries.” You snarled back at him. “You can be there for her without ignoring our relationship. You promised me we would come first no matter who your imprint was going to be.”
He nodded in agreement. “And we still come first, but like I said I also have to be there for her when she needs me. She might not be my top priority, but I can’t ignore Lin’s needs either, that’s just the bond.”
“Just the bond.” You repeated with a chuckle, your eyes prickling with tears as the sudden realization seeped in.
Nothing was more important to him than that damned forced bond and the longer you listened to him the clearer it became. You hoped it wouldn’t come to this, but looking back you couldn’t believe how stupid you were for believing the words of a man who hadn’t experienced something so intense before. ‘I don’t care who she is, you’re the one for me’ was what he said when you finally communicated your worries weeks after he had imprinted on her. You wished you had listened to the insecurity lingering at the back of your head when you had seen the relationships between Sam and Emily, Jared and Kim and every other pack member who had ended up with their imprint.
Why would I be naïve enough to think it would be any different for Jacob when he finally imprinted on someone?
“Baby, don’t cry.” He finally tried to narrow the space between your bodies to comfort you, but as you snapped out of your thoughts you flinched away from him. His comfort was the last thing you wanted.
Just then his words registered and you noticed the tears staining your cheeks. You quickly wiped them away with the back of your hand. “You don’t even see you’re in love with her, do you?” You looked up at his pained expression. You might don’t like being touched when you were mad, but you had never backed away from him when you were crying before.
“I’m not, I swear.” He answered hurriedly.
“You’re lying to yourself.” You shook your head, wiping your nose with your hand. “You dropped everything to be there for her when I needed you here. Again.”
Without waiting for a response, you were headed to your shared bedroom, Jacob’s footsteps closely behind you. You wanted to get away from him as far as possible, there was no way you were staying in the same house together. You didn’t feel like suffocating on your own again.
“Baby, (Y/N).” Jacob called out to you, hopelessly following you as you marched into your shared bedroom, diving straight into your closet to grab a suitcase. “What are you doing?”
You placed it on the bed, zipping it open as the tears falling from your eyes blurred your sight. When you turned back to your closet to grab a bunch of clothes, not even thinking of all the things you actually needed if you were going to stay away for a while, Jacob finally managed to get his hands on you. He held your wrists, not tight enough to hurt you, but with just enough force to keep you from moving. “Hey, don’t go, okay? Please. I want to fix this.”
“How? It’s not a choice, remember?” You avoided his gaze, looking down at the floor. Your body was trembling from the anxiety and all the mixed emotions coming out were making you sick to your stomach. You truly felt like throwing up. “How did you even want to start a family with me if I can’t even be your first choice, hm? I’m not putting my child through that.”
“(Y/N), don’t tell me. . .” Jacob’s eyes widened. When you told him you wanted to talk this morning he could tell you were excited, but he brushed it off like the idiot he was. All the signs were there and when it fell silent for a moment, he finally understood why tonight was so important to you.
“I’m pregnant.” You felt your arms slipping from his grip as you looked up at his blank expression. You pulled your hands away to dry the tears dripping from your face. “And I wanted to do things differently for our baby than our parents did, I wanted them to grow up with both of us there.”
“And they will.” His glinstering eyes and watery smile stared at you as he brought his hands up to your cheeks, softly caressing the sides of your face with his thumbs and placing his forehead against yours. You let him. “Just let me fix this. I’ll do anything for you-- both of you.”
As much as you wanted to believe what he said, you knew it was only a matter of time before he went running to Lin when she needed him again. He could treat you badly all he wanted, but you refused to let your child grow up feeling unwanted the way you did.
“No.” You whispered back to him, pulling your face away from his grip. “I’m done.”

oh to be seths imprint and attend a wedding and realize how in love we are and dance and have fun and fall in love with life and with each other and sneak away from the wedding and drink champagne and slow dance under the moon at night and look at the sky. I would literally die a happy woman :,(
SETH CLEARWATER THE REST OF OUR LIVES
word count: 1767
summary: when her duties as maid of honor become a little overwhelming, seth takes his girlfriend to a special place to take a break away from her family
warnings: you might experience extreme loneliness because I sure am
note: i already posted about it, but this is such a cute request. this is probably one of the cutest requests i’ve ever gotten. i still want to apologize for taking so long to finish this, because I just wasn’t sure how to approach this. i hope you still enjoy this, anon!
(Y/N) sighed softly, a pained expression replacing the fake smile which had occupied her face the whole day as she finally sat down at her assigned table. She put her hands against her back, softly straightening it to relieve herself from the twisting pain she had from walking around on heels the last few hours. “Should’ve worn flats.” She murmured to herself.
The family members and friends of the bride and groom were surrounding the dance floor of the wedding venue, where they were having their first dance of the night. It was the perfect moment to sneak away, because it was the first moment since the beginning of that stressful wedding day she didn’t have to do anything, but watch her sister and her now husband be happy.
Even with hurting feet, (Y/N) smiled satisfied as she caught a glimpse of the dancing pair between the figures surrounding them. The soft creme glow of the low hanging lights was reflecting beautifully on her sister’s diamond encrusted dress, just like she had dreamed of. As the maid of honor, (Y/N) made sure she could bring heaven on earth for her sister so she could have her perfect day and seeing her smile, which even gave her butterflies in her stomach, she knew she succeeded. Nothing could ruin her sister’s day.
(Y/N) noticed her almost empty glass of champagne she had left at the edge of the table over three hours ago, showing her how long it had exactly been since she gave her body a rest. It didn’t even look like it had bubbles anymore. She almost wanted to chug the last bit down her throat, too lazy to get herself a new drink. She also wasn’t in the mood to talk to the flirting bartender either. She was slowly going to let her tongue dry out if she had to.
As she finally found a comfortable position to sit in, a pair of familiar hands suddenly found their way to her shoulders, rubbing their thumbs between her shoulder blades. “Hey, pretty lady.” Her boyfriend whispered into her ear, shivers going down her spine as his warm breath gently brushed along her neck.
“Hey, baby.” Her lips curled up into a soft, relieved smile when she finally felt the one person she was waiting to spend her time with all day. Just like her, he was helping to make sure everything was perfect by being dragged along by her mother. Here and there, she would see him carry things behind the bar or make sure all the equipment was in the right place, secretly craving to be by his side and enjoy this beautiful moment with him. “I missed you today.”
Although he probably saw her sit down, she felt like Seth didn’t only know when, but also how she needed him. On days she was emotionally drained and just avoided social interaction, he was the only person she could stand being around. He didn’t expect anything from her and just lied silently next to her, rubbing figures into her belly while they cuddled.
“I would’ve loved to stay with you, but your mom wasn’t letting me out of her sight.” Seth chuckled, letting go of his girlfriend and sitting down on the chair next to her. “She even asked me to dance with her later.”
(Y/N) cringed, aware of how overbearing her mom could be at times. “I told her to tone it down. I’ll talk--”
“No, don’t. It’s fine.” Seth laughed, shaking his head. “Let’s just be civil for today, your sister deserves one day without an outburst from her. And it means she likes me, which is a good thing.”
Rolling her eyes at his statement knowing he was right, she quickly nodded in agreement. The last thing they needed was her mom to ruin the last few hours when everything went great so far.
“But now we’ve both got a few minutes to spare, can I show you something?” Seth held his hand out to his girlfriend which she hesitantly accepted.
With a raised eyebrow, she tilted her head. “Where are you taking me?”
Instead of telling her, he smiled from ear to ear as he promised her they would be back in time before anyone needed either of them again. Without trying to draw any attention by leaving through a random side door of the venue, (Y/N) looked over her shoulder one last time before they managed to slip away unnoticed. Holding onto her boyfriend’s arm she was able to ignore the pain in the heels of her feet, feeling a slight rush of adrenaline flow through her veins.
It suddenly felt like they were teenagers again. It brought back a memory of when Seth convinced her to jump out of her window, promising her he would get her back into bed before anyone noticed. Thinking back she asked herself why that was her biggest concern when she was going to risk her limbs by trusting a guy to catch her as she jumped from the second floor. But she did it without a second thought and before she knew two strong arms stopped her from, what could’ve been, a nasty fall and she never doubted him again.
“Wow.” Was the first thing escaping (Y/N)’s mouth when they ended up at a dock stretched out over a body of water. The full moon shone brightly, hitting the silent streams just right. It looked like tiny diamonds were appearing and disappearing at a rapid pace. She had seen a lot in her years, but she couldn’t have imagined something so simple would take her breath away.
“I know, right?” Seth agreed calmly, having seen it before as he observed his girlfriend walk to the edge of the dock to get closer to take in the magnificent view. “I found it when I was helping out outside earlier.”
“It’s beautiful.” She whispered, briefly looking back at him as his arms wrapped around her waist. He rested his chin on top of her shoulder, taking the view in with her as she intertwined her fingers with his on her belly.
Even before they started the day he knew there would be a point her family would start to drive her insane, her mom’s complaining, her sister’s requests, her aunts’ bickering about things not being to their liking. He didn’t know how she kept it together so well, but he could see it was tiring her out. She needed a break and that was exactly what he was trying to give her. He was convinced her family could survive five minutes without her.
But even with that short lived break, he already could tell she wasn’t going to pick up her phone for at least a week once they got home. He already heard himself ask her ‘what’s the excuse this time’ as they came up with something on the spot for when he picked up the phone for her. He didn’t mind though, he would do anything for her. And she knew that.
As far away as they were, the faded music of her sister’s wedding could be heard. The new melody of the upcoming song caught Seth’s attention and made him pull away from his girlfriend. Left unprepared for the cool summer breeze brushing along her exposed skin, (Y/N) looked back at him to see what he was doing.
Once again he held his hand out towards her, a soft smile plastered across his face. “Dance with me?”
Her gaze softened as that same pained smile from before appeared on her face. “I would love to, but my feet feel like they’re going to fall off.”
Seth rolled his eyes playfully and tilted his head, signaling her to come to him. “C’mere.”
As much as (Y/N) wanted to reject his offer, she couldn’t say no to those eyes. She did as she was told, approaching her boyfriend who grabbed her hands and gently pressed his smiling lips against her knuckles - earning a giggle from her - before he placed her cold hands around his neck. He pulled her closer to him, their chests touching as he did.
“Stand on my shoes.” He grinned.
“Okay.” She breathed, finally understanding his plan as she used the balls of your feet to stand on top of his feet. They laughed in unison when it appeared she was even taller than on her heels alone, bringing her face closer to his.
“Hi.”
“Hey.” Seth smiled back, lowering his hands down to her lower back.
Even with his girlfriend standing on top of him he managed to gently sway them to the melody of the music playing in the distance. (Y/N) leaned into his touch, placing her head against his shoulder while she felt Seth’s head resting against hers. Her eyes fluttered closed to take in his warmth and scent of his cologne. She would truly stay in his arms forever if she could.
“Did I already tell you how beautiful you look today?” Seth broke the comfortable silence between them, his voice much lower than before.
Blood rushed to (Y/N)’s cheeks, the butterflies in her stomach reminding her of their first date. How he managed to make her feel like that every time he was a little too close was still a mystery, but she would never get enough of the feeling.
“You haven’t actually.” She answered, grinning as her head still rested against his shoulder.
“You, (Y/N) (Y/L/N). . .” His movements were starting to slow down, one of his hands pulling away from her lower back to grab her by the chin. He pushed her face up to meet his gaze and he leaned in slightly leaving a slim space between them. A shaky breath hit his face as he left his girlfriend completely flustered by his actions. “are absolutely gorgeous.”
Closing the gap between them, Seth gently pressed his lips against hers as both of their eyes closed shut. He did not care about her lipstick rubbing off on him. He was hers after all and he wasn’t afraid to show others that. (Y/N) moved her hand up the back of his head, intertwining her fingers with his long dark locks and pushed him closer to deepen their kiss.
This wasn’t that kind of love you would have to lose before you realized you had it, it was the kind you felt and realized in the moment. And standing there on that dock with the moon shining down at them, was the moment they realized they would have this love the rest of their lives.
PREFERENCE HOW THEY REACT WHEN THEY’RE JEALOUS | part one
characters: jacob black, paul lahote, quil ateara, embry call
warnings: none
note: i hope you like it, anon!

When it came to your relationship Jacob wasn’t a very jealous guy, but there was one person who just ticked him off whenever he saw you together with him, your best friend. He never really did anything too obvious, but he just made him uncomfortable whenever he was next to you constantly wanting to touch you for whatever reason. Your hands, arms, waist, Jake even caught his hands a little too low on your lower back. To keep the peace between the two of you, he never acted out like he wanted to and just walked away whenever things were getting too much for him, saving this topic for when you were alone. He knew how to bring it up and you listened carefully to his concerns, now keeping an eye out for what you weren’t seeing before.

Unlike Jacob, Paul definitely acted on his feelings right away when he saw something happening he didn’t like. At parties you weren’t always attached to the hip, going off with your own friends while occasionally sending each other reassuring glances to make sure everything was alright. When Paul looked for you again, expecting you to enjoy yourself with one of your friends, he found you at a table talking to one of the guys he recognized from school laughing a little too hard at whatever he was telling you. Interrupting one of his own friends in the middle of their story, he walked up to the two of you before grabbing your face and pulling you up into an open-mouthed kiss, showing the guy you only had eyes for him.

Honestly at first it wasn’t a big deal, but the more stories Quil heard from your best friend about the crazy things you had done together the more he felt like he didn’t know you as well as he thought he did. Was it something worth to be jealous over? No, but he couldn’t really help the way he felt about it. Not only did he start to come up with the craziest things to do on dates, but he asked you a lot of questions in an attempt to get to know you better. When you finally noticed what he was doing you didn’t tell him you were onto him, because you thought it was cute and quite harmless. You had a lot of fun in the end.

It was frustrating to Embry how clueless you were sometimes. Guys would openly flirt with you, but whenever he talked to you about it you dismissed his concerns, telling him they were just being nice. He didn’t mind your response that much because he knew you genuinely thought they were just trying to stir up an conversation with you, while they were actually just trying to get into your pants. So following your conversation whenever you got approached Embry made sure to let them know you already had someone. Just casually interrupting the conversation, wrapping his arms around you from behind and kissing your cheek, slipping a ‘hey babe’ in there too before leaving again, leaving the guys with a nasty taste in their mouth. They were definitely leaving you alone after that.
don’t mind me just practicing my angst skills on Paul :)
“I’m sorry.” Was the first thing he said to you after he had woken you up with his 3 am call, looking down at the floor as he was seated on your bed. You heard the lump in his throat and knowing Paul you knew was trying his hardest to hold his tears back, his hands balled in fists in his lap. He hated being so vulnerable in front of others, but when it came to you it was different. “I didn’t know where else to go.” He whispered, feeling not only guilty but also stupid for ending up at his ex-girlfriend’s house.
You smiled sadly, staring down at him with your red eyes, your lids heavy from exhaustion. But you always found the energy to comfort him. “When I promised to always be here for you, I meant it. It’s okay.” You assured him. You placed your hand at the nape of his neck and pulled him into your soft embrace, his head resting against your stomach. “Just tell me what you need.” You said calmly, feeling his hot tears stain your pajama shirt.
His trembling arms gently sneaked around your waist, desperately holding onto you like he needed much more comfort you could give him. “Just hold me, please.” He sniffled.
summary: Paul can’t get his classmate out of his head and when he sees her for the first time after he shifted he finally gets why
warnings: none
note: I don’t really like this one, but I hope you guys do :)
(Y/N) (Y/L/N) occasionally popped up in Paul’s head. She was the nice girl who was seated next to him every English class, always cheerfully telling him ‘goodmorning’ when he sat down at the beginning of every class. She always whispered him the answers when he was called on and didn’t know the answer or when he simply wasn’t paying attention.
His gaze would always fall on her whenever she walked through the cafeteria to get to the same lunch table her friends and her always sat at, laughing and chuckling loudly. Sometimes their eyes would meet, but Paul would look away hoping she didn’t think he was staring at her.
He would always ask himself why he was so fixated on her even when he was alone or with his friends. He found himself questioning what she could be doing besides studying hard enough to answer every question their English teacher would throw at him. He wanted to know what she liked, but felt weird asking about it when they weren’t even friends.
It wasn’t long until he had more important things on his mind. With the first time shifting and learning how to keep his cool, (Y/N) soon became nothing more than an afterthought he was trying to control whenever he was in his wolf form. He didn’t want the intruders in his mind questioning his little crush, pushing any trace of her in his head so far down he had even forgotten about it.
After Sam made sure he had the shifting under control it was time to go back to school, although he felt more at home out there spending endless hours running through the green paradise. Feeling the cool air brush through his fur but never getting cold was like heaven to him. It was like he was one with his surroundings. It was the best feeling ever.
Until he saw her.
Paul knew he was going to have some trouble with catching up to the homework he had missed. On his first day back he already felt like giving up.
He was leaned over his wooden desk with his head looking down as he waited for his classmates to fill the room. His heightened senses made it easy for him to hear all of them, their personal conversations sounding like they were happening right next to him.
He was getting so caught up in one of the conversations he didn’t even hear (Y/N) approach her seat.
“Goodmorning.” Her cheerful sweet voice greeted him as she sat down next to him.
Surprised by her voice, Paul picked up his head from the table and turned to the girl he hadn’t thought about the last two months, realizing how much he actually missed her presence. “Hey.”
She was turned away from him, gathering the books she needed from her bag, which was placed next to her on the floor. “How are you feeling?” She focused her attention back on him as she opened her books without looking at them.
As their eyes met Paul’s mind fell blank. All his senses were focused on her like there was no one else in the room. It was just her. He felt his heart in his throat and his body was tingling all over, silently longing for her. It was like he found the only one who really mattered to him.
He swallowed the sudden lump in his throat created by the anxiety away as he remembered her question. He noticed he was probably taking an abnormal long time to answer her question as she had a curious look on her face.
“Sorry, what did you say?” He tried to play it off, softly shaking his head.
“I asked how you were feeling. Jared told me you were sick and it must’ve been pretty serious, because you were gone for a while.” Her voice sounded like he was experiencing music for the first time and he never wanted to stop listening again.
“Yeah, but I’m doing much better now.” He nodded as a smile formed around his lips. If Jared told her about him, it meant she asked about him. That was a good sign, right?
“That’s great.” She smiled. “Just tell me if you need the notes from the classes you missed.”
“Thanks.” Was all he could say before their English teacher started their class.
For the first time he understood why he couldn’t get her of his mind. It was her, she was his imprint.
