another thing i will never stop thinking about is the time my work had a speaker come talk to us about how important our work is, like for morale, and he ended the speech by saying his name. not even an "i'm steve goldberg" sign off, just "steve goldberg" like he's an email
#he also told a story about how our work as a diagnostic lab helped his mother get her respiratory illness diagnosis two days earlier#than another lab#but the story ended in her dying so it was not at all a morale booster#that was the whole story and it took 5-7 minutes to tell#i am not exaggerating#funnily enough it was a half hour meeting that could have been#you guessed it#an email#taylortalks#worst speech i've ever heard
