Realistically and practically, you're alienating them further by ostracising them and literally laughing at their suffering, and missing the chance to reach out to them for change and solidarity.

the way the starter characters in Genshin are the rarest characters to obtain (idk if anything changed but i don’t think so tbh. i haven’t played for almost a year). You could play for almost a year and obtain exact 0 of your fave starter character through the gacha itself. Another option would be buying them through specialised tickets but uhh, this chara is only available every several months boohoo.

vs me getting lot of starter characters in Arknights like 50th time now bc a specialised gacha coupon that gives you mostly starter characters + something rarer every now and then

you recently listed some things which, if any were to happen, might lead you to no longer believe that H+L are together. if you don't mind my asking - if that were to happen, would no longer believing they're together change how you interact with them/participate in their fandom? and in general, could anything convince you that they'd *never* been together or *not* been together during a specific past era?

I don't know how it would change how I participate in fandom. For me finding things interesting and having a lot to say about them is pretty important to how I do fandom. I think there are ways that I might be less interested if some of the things that persuaded me that they weren't together, and ways that I would be more interested.

In terms of them never being together - I do find it almost impossible to imagine circumstances where they never got each other off. I would find it possible to believe that they weren't in a relationship for any period of time. But I'd need another account of what was going on that addressed some of the weirdness we saw. Basically a weirder specific story about what was happening.
