It's after 3pm, I can get out of the heat as soon as I can get enough to get a room! I'm sort $250.

It's once again a check out day!

I would save quite a bit if I can book several nights at a time. So that's my goal to sell enough to book through the weekend. To get three nights will cost roughly $550 including taxes and incidentals. I can check back in at three. Which would be ideal because it's supposed to be almost 100 today. That translates to selling one 12"x 16" wood panel.

I could check in again at 3pm. So if I could make that sale around 3pm mst it would be fantastic!!! If I did make that sale.

I don't have enough money to leave for a room tonight or food of any kind.

PayPal unfroze my payouts so I can receive payments once again. Finally some good news.

I need money for a hotel room tonight. Call me manipulative, I'm not okay right now and every second I'm not sleeping I'm building a logical case for ending my life. I need to make sure I sleep every night.

Room is going to be $200 with $50 deposit included in that. If I had an extra $100 I'd get food and more art supplies.

Mr Lee is known for having homeless children spawn at his door every now and then and him just admitting them inside. Happened to Waai Fu, Hung and Aak, happened to Xiao Hei during Luo Xiaohei collab.

But imagine. What if it was grown piece of a homeless jobless sui.

Regardless if its even raining outside or not, there stands Wang, sopping wet like a homeless cat to be picked up, persisently drilling holes in Mr Lee's eyes with his stare.

I think what makes Yomi no Tsugai stand out among 2020s manga so much is how earnest it feels. Thanks to the fact Arakawa already made it in the manga world and clearly has a lot of creative freedom - or surrounds herself with people she meshes with well and it lets her write what she wants rather than ticking boxes

You don't have some stupid fanservice scene the author tries to pass as super deep. You don't have half-assed commentary that'll age like milk in 5-6 years (in fact I think for example Ken's subplot will only get more and more relevant as years go by but I digress). You don't have scenes that feel like the author was trying to force a meme panel (even though I think in a better world tons of scenes would be). There is no "leak culture". There are no powerscaling junkies. There are no moronic popularity polls suddenly impacting the story. Barely relevant characters (like the Kagemoris' gardener) can end up being very important to the story and you'll never expect it. There's just a lot to love and a very clear vision and I can't help but love the series for that

Fullmetal Alchemist: Our protagonists are against murder of any kind against anyone and will go through great lengths to avoid it, not once breaking their code. The revolutionaries enact their plan through media & strategy, a good chunk of them actively avoiding killing their opponents (baring a few notable lapses in judgement). Violence and war are questioned and judged.

I like Ling's commentary in iw basically going "Wang actually sucks bad at board games he just got obsessed with playing weiqi and got good because he's been living and playing for so long"

It's really inspiring, especially when he's known as this terrifying entity who is a master at the game and planned to use the entirety of Terra as his board. He wasn't immediately good at it the moment his consciousness solidified and he realized who he was. He was bad and straight up couldn't stop playing. Getting hooked on a game you've lost 1000+ matches at when you first started is some really impressive dedication. It makes a lot of sense with his operation failure line too. After losing he immediately asks for another game and I bet that's exactly what he's been doing for millennia.
