The Benefits And Different Methods of Producing A Healing Bark Mask
The bark of Hesperethusa crenulata or Limonia acidissima plants are known as healing bark, as they are enriched with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It also contains two chemical elements – marmesin and coumarin. Both elements are used for protection of the skin from the damage resulting of UVA and UVB rays of sunlight. The bark of Hesperethusa crenulata or Limonia acidissima plants are known as the ‘healing bark’ due to this reason. You will receive a watery paste that is pale yellow in color if you rub this bark on a slab of stone using a little bit of water. You may use this paste as the healing bark mask.
You may even use other natural substances to improve the usefulness of healing bark mask. For example, Thanaka mask can be used for gentle exfoliation of the skin. This will remove the dead skin cells and will improve the glow of the skin. Harsh exfoliation cannot be tolerated by sensitive skin. Thanaka can gently remove the dead skin cells without irritating the skin. This healing-bark mask may even be used for the brightening of skin-tone. Your skin may lose its natural radiance due to being exposed to sunlight. In this scenario, you may use Thanaka to bring back the natural glow of your skin. On one hand, it brightens the skin by removing dead cells. On the other hand, it will lighten the skin tone.
Thanaka contains Arbutin which is capable of reducing the scars and preventing melanin formation. Therefore, an application of a healing bark mask will noticeably brighten your skin. Arbutin is also known to lighten the dark-spots. You may notice these spots on the skin due to being exposed to the sunlight or through aging. The application of a healing bark mask has been found to reduce the appearance of dark spots, if they result from no illness or side-effect of any medication.
There are two methods for producing a healing bark mask. You may rub the bark or branch onto a Kyauk pyin which is a specially designed stone slab with a channel along the periphery. This channel is used in order to collect the watery substance once you rub a branch or the bark of Thanaka (Hesperethusa crenulata or Limonia acidissima) plants against this type of stone slab. However, Thanaka can be produced using any type of stone slab.
You may even use Thanaka powder to produce a healing bark mask. The bark/branches of mature Thanaka plants are shaved in fine granules and they are collectively known as Thanaka powder. You may mix this powder with water and create thick or watery paste based upon your preference. This paste can be used as a face-mask or body-mask. It is easier to create a paste using Thanaka powder instead of rubbing the branch/bark on a stone slab. For more information visit Our Website
