ok so... the tao of pooh, the five people you meet in heaven, the bell jar, the book thief and the kite runner are definitely the most impactful fictional books on my life..... special mentions go out to song of achilles, his dark materials, inkheart and a variety of murakami books that fucked me up in high school

20. would you rather be in Middle Earth, Narnia, Hogwarts, or somewhere else?

fuck this is so hard but HOGWARTS i wanna learn magic... i wish there was magic in this world i’d be a terrible witch but boy would i have fun with it

5. What's the fic you're most proud of?

Oooohh uhhhh, i think it's "the broken radio is playing suicide" just cos it's my only long fic and i managed to finish it!!! plus, it's the most plot I've ever written, and it's as much a character study as it is plotting, so im happy with that.

i do like "only fools rush in" for the sheer ease with which ive written it. it came so easy to me, the story, the banter, it was a lot of fun too, and so it turned out really well, so yeah.

10. what's your favourite genre to write for?

romance, very obviously, as i don't really do much else, and i am also not really good at anything else i think?? just like, thriller/murder/mystery is something that eludes me, idea-wise, but i guess if something ever came to me, id give it a shot, but there will ALWAYS be romance in everything i write 💕💕💕

19. do you prefer canon-compliant, AUs or something in between?

i dont really have a preference tbh, i usually go with whatever works best for the fic/idea i have

1. What book are you currently reading?

there's a few! i got into a weird habit of having a few books going, a primary and some secondaries, cuz i need enrichment or whatever. im rereading the well of ascension (a spiteful activity) and a different book from a popular ya series that shall remain nameless (a joyful revisit). and then im reading comfort me with apples, weatherland: writers & artists under english skies, and victorian environmental nightmare. ive also been carrying around the blue book of nebo waiting for the mood to strike me -- i cracked it exactly once tho so i wouldnt say im reading it

6. What was your favourite series as a kid? Would you still read it now?

WOW if i have a lot of fav books series now it's nothing compared to how many i read as a kid. some top contenders: the sea of trolls, animorphs, warriors, the last dragon chronicles, the unicorn chronicles, skulduggery pleasant, silverwing, asoue, and the magic shop books. i would reread any of these and have in fact reread most of them. i am a big rereader tho

19. Paperback or hardcover?

they fill different needs. but generally paperbacks are easier to carry around
