Alecto the ninth releasing would fix me
Had the season finale in our d&d group. didnt go well. We lost a player to death. Lost another player in a freak accident that caused them to quite literally disappear. We lost so many people.
When we got back to the entrance and was taking the mining car back out, my character looked at the remaining group. There was 6 players and 2 npcs.
At the beginning, there was 8 players and 6 npcs. As we rode the mining car down, my warforged pc watched everyone get shitfaced with alcohol and drugs, laughing and having a good time.
And then, coming back, it was just 6 players and 2 npcs. Sitting in stone cold silence, covered in blood and illithid brine. We were trapped in there for over 80 years but only remembered 3 days of it. And when we finally escaped back in our dimension, only 10 years had passed.
Also my character as well as 3 other players got 10 corruption points, so theres that too.
Oh, but we leveled up :)
“That feeling when you’re not necessarily sad, but you just feel really empty.”
.
That emptiness (demands filling)
And we are always walking about With holes inside us With nothing's inside us And we want something's And we don't know what/ And we forget to let the empty Stay as it is, and let it burn us And let it fill us Til we remember that we were once Filled with something else And we have to wait for this Dissatisfaction to consume us/ We need this emptiness to remind us That we there were things made to Fill us, to hold us Sometimes setting blankets over the Holes only leaves traps insidiously Waiting, waiting/ We need these cracks and holes to Fill us, we need so much nothing To remember how much something Ever fit inside of us/ We were made to sit outside in the storm and feel the way it feels And explain it and sing about it And let it be loved away/ These caverns one day will Be gardens of the deep//
